This got me curious, So i looked at what exactly is calculated into a carbon foot print, Things such as travel, Home costs, food consumed, amount of shopping (goods and services). So...food eaten is technically increasing your carbon footprint

I ever set up this kind of drip system, but over time, the system often get clogged and choked, as our water has plenty of lime (hard water) and at times, it has sand or some debris. Too much work to unclogged the system. So I gave up and use the normal way of watering with bigger water hose.

This is off the subject but wanted to give you the information. I came across this by accident you talk that you have a DVD I believe. Forgive me if I am wrong on that. I came across this diet called the Feinegold diet specifically for ADHD. If a food or substance can affect us like an allergy it can have some bearing on our bodies in certain ways that can create havoc. Anyway, happy searching. Nancy from Nebraska

Old video I know. But if my neighbor has chickens and I decide to get some. Will they co-mingle?? Will my chicks end up in their coops or vise versa?? Will they compete or war with each other ?? Or will they stay with their own group?? They’d haft to cross a road. And I don’t want to create an accident. I’ve been wondering what would happen.

Another event!!! 😂 extra zucchini can be dehydrated and ground into flour. Look for info online for what % of zucchini flour to use with regular flour. Really takes care of excess zucchini in a hurry. Thanks bye. Jeanette

Thought struck me!!! Event 😂. Where you have the ladders under the hay what about metal corrugated aluminum roofing. Easy to slide hay on, water proof from the bottom, overlapped to not cnatch the bales and your all set. With buying to much maybe you already have a couple sheets. Have an awesome week. See you next video. Love your p. rogram. Jeanette

Brian, when I think of what you started with there in the San Diego area and then see what you have now, I think it is stunning. Where did you get your great work ethic? It looks like you are passing it along to your son Noah. Kinda amazing when you consider that teen age years are notoriously lazy. Love both your channels and your family and animals (especially gorgeous Bella!). Also, a big hug to your wonderful followers and all the experience and advice they bring to your projects.❤

I wish there was a "love it" button here. Emelie, I guess you chose the song for the video for Brian? Such a great pick! A great video too! And Brian, I didn't send a video of my own for several reasons but mostly because it would've been very difficult to say out loud that gardening is my way of keeping my late grandma alive and I was terrible at it. You've helped me become a pretty decent gardener. I like to think every now and then that if she could see me (and the garden) now, she'd be proud. I noticed just people from the USA were in the video. So here's one grateful Eastern European ❤

I did the upside tomato thing a couple of years because of space issues and while it worked ok, they were difficult to plant and watering from above always got the leaves all wet ... not a good thing 😮 I MUCH prefer my half wine barrels! 😊

Brian, do you have a video that points out the different species of plants in your tropical garden that you presently have and will be adding to it? My husband and I are in OC and looking to upgrade our backyard to a more tropical feel.

Having tried the upside down planters myself, they don't work very well. The vines tend to twist and grow right side up, instead of down, since they are growing towards the sun. Best of luck on it.

You have done so much work and it all looks fantastic. I’d keep an eye on that fenceline between the “parking lot”/driveway and the pasture for erosion. Two possible sources of erosion are 1) runoff from the parking lot/driveway to the hill on one side and 2) natural erosion of the hill on the other side of the fence. Grass might not be sufficient; It usually isn’t where I live. If the banana trees have large root systems, that might eventually help secure the hill but they also might create voids in the soil for water to infiltrate.

You should try and see if you can get a variety of Banana commonly known as 'Lady Fingers' They're small narrow finger size as the name suggests. But are they sweet, my favorite, but I have never seen them outside Thailand and its too cold where I live to try growing any Banana😞. There are supposed to be 52 varieties of banana in Thailand we were told on our holidays there, not including Plantain, they were adiment they are not bananas though they look similar.

Love the tropical garden progress. Looking forward to the upside bucket tomato experiment. Just a thought about your hay bin... would corrugated metal work on the floor of the bin? 2 purposes: Help hay bales slide along easier Keep rodents from burrowing up into hay As always, love what you've done!

Is the pink floss tree a mimosa type? I have one. It's 40 years old. It is, bar none, the messiest tree ever. My neighbors are annoyed. Flower mess in June. Seed drop and leaves in December. The mess is in everyone's gutters. The babies are growing everywhere. It involves most of our work in the garden.
