DETONATION: Remember there is no knock sensor in the Viper. Did you monitor knock directly perhaps acoustically? Did you read the "timing mark" on the spark plugs? TIRES: Did you have sticky tires like the R888R which roughly let's you hook 1 gear lower. (But then you may be concerned about the frame recall for reinforcements which can be quite ugly in the rear. TRANS SYNCHROS: GTS has single cone synchros. BAD (!) Get a Max or Tremec that has triple and double cones. CLUTCH: Might want to investigate a double disc for the purpose of shifting - want less rotational innertia. TRANS RATIOS: Also the 5th and 6th ratios are essentially OD and Double OD - the exact opposite for top speed performance. There are other gear sets that are better, in particular there is a popular one that just about "halves" the OD-iness of 5th and 6th. For top end, I don't know who makes what but a 1.10 spread from 5 to 6 would not be excessive. 1.2 minimum. Decreasing spread all the way. If going to drag race, other rules. REAR RATIO: do some maths HALF SHAFTS: Might want to upgrade. FUN FACT: BARO: There is no BARO sensor. PCU takes a BARO reading from MAP during KEY-ON. TUNING: The BARO table has something like 2 points on it and is used for "atmospheric backpressure" on the exhaust.

i recently had to redo my 5.7 hemi as the hemi tick finally arose. pulled the cam and lifters and about 4 of the lifters were damaged as well as the cam lobes (except lifter was worse) and the supposed fix is a better oil pump. idk why you would be getting less oil on only one but the damage was the same so i thought id mention it.
