Guys it looks amazing, such a great DIY project! Well done on moving the dirt part of the yard back.... I am jsut about to order for our backyard...I had used this kind before on my 12x 5 patio ( in green) in NYC and absolutely loved it! But now we have a yard and have to cover 700 square feet, oops ;-) Still way less than a contractor job, we'll DIY all in our new home!

Thank you! As long as you have enough spots to nail down the greenery, we would think it should work!

I'd put money on you having weeds growing through, especially where you put the sand. You should have at least added landscaping fabric / weed membrane.

No sticking to the ground. You just place them together like puzzle pieces to form one big piece that stays put by staying together. Ours are against walls on all sides so the big piece never moves

Are you sure you saved 11k? Decking tiles are super expensive compared to composite boards. They are easy to install, but the labor saved is then spent on materials which are not superior in quality. So paid for the convenience which should be accounted for

I had very similar tiles put down on my terrace - biggest mistake ever! Any and all debris falls inbetween the cracks, how are you supposed to sweep up if everything just falls into the cracks? Weeds grow up through the cracks. The first time we had the dirty rain after installing these we never got them back to the way they looked before. Really disappointed that i didnt just re-tile instead🤷
@TheStigters Жыл бұрын
Hmm maybe the other brand tiles didn’t work as well then? We didn’t lay tiles over any grass so no weeds have grown through ours.

Hi what a great job, but they should come with a warning, maybe they can be used in a enclosed court yard, but I would not use them on a main patio out in the open, we had big storm our neighbour had done his patio with these tiles, until we had cyclone storm which picked up all his tiles they were like missiles flying everywhere and with weather events getting worse be very careful using the above tiles, old way is still the best might cost a bit but it will be safer
