Been using Monzo for around 4 years now. Never been disappointed. Top bank.

The free MONZO account is part of my monthly budget and makes budgeting much easier with pots. The roundup feature isn’t for everyone but works Pretty well. Anything that makes saving easier is a win for me.

With regards Virgin money package its only local breakdown with a ten mile tow Monzo has European breakdown

Monzo is by far the best current account available... Starling and Chase miles behind. A proud customer since 2017... ZERO issues.

Been using Monzo as my main account (salary paid in) for 1 year this month. All the gimmicky stuff that most seem to hate is what i like about it 🤣 Round ups, getting paid early, I even have a paid account for more gimmicks 😂, each to there own i suppose.

Monzo has limits for spending abroad?🤦🏻♂️ guess Andy got that wrong

He said limited spending

Say there are better alternatives to Monzo Extra.... Ok then, what are they then?
@ASovietOnion4 күн бұрын
I think starling does similar? I know they do virtual cards for no extra cost which is quite useful
@ThatWaveАй бұрын
Is the limit to abroad spreading for cash withdrawals only. Never noticed any fees or limits for just suing the card / contactless abroad with my free mondo
@thealien_ali338215 күн бұрын
It's only for withdrawal which is max £200 a month. Sterling is £300 a day for free. I wanted sterling but I was rejected. But using the card itself is unlimited

Starling is better in my opinion. and is free and better app
@Kidglove57Ай бұрын
I would have agreed - and for me Starling App is a lot cleaner and better to use - BUT they have just announced they will be paying no interest from 10 Feb. Will Monzo follow suit? Meanwhile I will keep a low working balance at Starling and move money too and from Chip as needed to earn interest.

They don’t give the account to everyone unfortunately. I tried, they rejected
@MatureStudent-t3bАй бұрын
I agree. I recently had a budget overhaul and realised I needed virtual cards. Having to pay for them with Monzo was an immediate turn off after I discovered Starling gives you five virtual cards for free. Starling also doesn’t charge you to deposit cash at the post office whereas Monzo does. And then there aren’t the silly fees to replace a card that Monzo has. It’s just a better experience imo
@DarkReaper-or9elАй бұрын
Monzo is also free plus you can apply for a interest free 3 month credit card which starling doesn't have
@acmramonАй бұрын
@ yes i have monzo as well. Don’t need a credit card from them. Starling will have soon an easy savings acc, plus abroad is better. Anyway they are digital banks, so wouldn’t rely on them too much

really baffles me why so many accounts these days have these daft gimmicks like roundups just to appeal to people too stupid to save money. I just don't get why people feel they need to be tricked or gamify the idea of saving money.
@acmramonАй бұрын
@@WOOOPdoctorFROGhere true😅banks want people money, but the roundups thing is very silly 😅 they should offer decent interest rates if they want the money
@dilan4123Ай бұрын
Because unfortunately people have never been more naive and stupid than they are now. The TikTok generation brings the collective IQ levels down
@Packaging_manАй бұрын
High street banks offer the same products regards round ups. So it obviously works
@WOOOPdoctorFROGhereАй бұрын
@Packaging_man think you need to learn to read before commenting. I didn't say high street banks DON'T employ these gimmicks did I? The point I made is quite clear, which is that many banks do the same nonsense for customers too lazy to save money the conventional way.
@edster512Ай бұрын
Interesting that anyone who likes roundups is deemed stupid, a dreadful generalisation
