Easy Wheel Bearing Replacement

Here is a short video showing how to easily replace a front wheel bearing without a press or slide hammer. In my view, this is the easiest way to replace a wheel bearing.
This video features a 2003 Honda Pilot, but the procedure will work for most pressed in wheel bearing assemblies.
Below are links to the tools used. FYI, you can often rent a Hub Grappler from your local auto parts store. Not sure if they would have the Quick Race tool though.
Thank you for watching!

In my vision of how I'd do this, you recreated the dream, complete with using the torch to let the retained inner race fall down by gravity. I'm not sure many viewers would appreciate all that went into this, and how different it is. The very first video I saw of you taking this style of bearing off years ago was an eye opener, it was the usual method then. It's so nice to see you making videos, Eric. I hope you and your family are well.

If you ever need to replace a wheel bearing very easily, simply buy a junkyard knuckle and swap the whole thing, instead of trying to get the bearing off the knuckle. It's a bolt on job with no sweat or elbow grease. I did this on one of my cars about 7 years ago and the wheel bearing on the junkyard knuckle is still working perfectly. It actually ends up being cheaper and faster (less labor) to replace the entire knuckle, than to 'F' around with the wheel bearing.

I once changed a wheel bearing using just a hammer and a big vise. First removed all the knuckle, got it into the vise tightly, and hammered all the stuff out of it. I thought I was going to need a big 5kg hammer, but the 1kg one did the job more than perfect. I drove in new parts the same way, making sure to not ruin the bearing in the process. And it worked really fine.
