When I first heard these guys when they hit the scene I was already a diehard long time fan of Genesis since the early 70's. I remember basically discarding Marillion as a cheap knockoff of Genesis. Slowly they began to grow on me though. If I set aside my initial assessment of them I began to see them as their own entity. If that makes any sense.

Tenho práticamente 55 anos, Marillion foi talvez a minha banda músical ocidental preferida 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏...

This is just an impression of Peter Gabriel in Genesis. I mean it could be them. That much of a copy.

I grew up in the 80’s, loving Marillion, I’m going in for open heart surgery next week. I told my wife to make sure my phone is playing good music when I come out of surgery!

I’m actually sitting g here listening to this for the 100’th time, loving it as much as the first time I heard it! I’m scheduled for open heart surgery on the 10th. They caught it before I had a heart attack. So, that’s really good. But, the recovery is a long process. I’m getting a triple bypass and a new aortic valve. The doctors said that if they wouldn’t have found my congenital defect, I would have been dead in a year! So, I’m trying to look at this as a good thing! Putting together my playlist for when I’m hopefully in recovery next week. I don’t want to come out of surgery to listening to machines!

I’m three weeks post surgery now! I’ve watched this video more than a few times over the past few weeks! I’m way ahead of schedule as far as my recovery goes. I was cleared to drive at 19 days. Surgery is still kicking my ass though. Most days I have very little energy. It’s just going to take time.

Saw Marillion many times in the early 1980’s as a young teenager. Especially the first 2 albums had a profound influence on me. This song particularly is just poetry from heaven. Will see & say goodbye to the great man on his final tour in 2025. Bless you Fish.
