Thank you for allowing us to share your summer fun, and safe travels back to Florida. I hope that your property and friends and family were not heavily impacted by Milton, an I look forward to more fishing videos and some tutorials (hint, hint). Take good care.

Thanks Joseph. Yes, this was a few days ago. I'm actually still on the road heading home to FL. We'll get there tomorrow afternoon. Thank the Lord, I had minimal damage. Some fencing blew out and a small tree down. That's it.

No matter where you go, I know your fishing trip will always be awesome. It would be good if you did some saltwater fishing videos.
@OldLadyAngler26 күн бұрын
Believe it or not, saltwater used to be my only fishing. Got tired of making the long drive over to the coast though. Maybe I'll sneak a trip in soon. Thanks so much for watching.

Thank you so much for coming along. Aside from catching that PB 5lb 10oz giant, my favorite time was fishing a new lake and catching many big fish. It's always exciting to fish new water, but add in some big catches and it's amazing! I can't really think of a least favorite time. No bad experiences whatsoever. I also really enjoyed that stream I fished. What a goldmine. Had never been there until this year. Next year, I will try a new steam that I've had my eye on for a couple of years.

Did not know Maine had bass like that. Looks like you had an amazing summer up there.
@OldLadyAngler21 күн бұрын
Maine is incredible. I was in Central Maine and I think southern area has bigger Bass. But I sure got spoiled there. No one on the water. It's crazy. They're all up north in the cold water fishing for trout and salmon.

Wow, what a summer in Maine!!! I just took up fishing in July, and from a kayak. I live in western Washington, so not exactly a bass fishing destination, but I have found an incredible little lake on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. I absolutely love your videos, I have learned so much. I just started throwing a Neko rig and wow, the bass here love it. Safe travels home to Florida, and I hope that your home didn't suffer too much damage from Helene and Milton.
@OldLadyAngler28 күн бұрын
Thank you. You live in a beautiful area that I've visited many times, long ago. But you're right.... not a big Bass area. I'm glad the Neko Rig is catching you some fish. It's a great bait that the fish can't resist. My home did not have any damage. Just a part of my fence blew out, easy to fix. I'll be home later today, then starts the chore of cleaning out everything from the camper and truck. 😫 Least favorite part of traveling 😂

I wouldn’t give up Florida for not even Maine but I wouldn’t mind fishing there mainly because of these punishing summers. Except July that’s the month I do the best in the Everglades. Well you did good up there Ola I’m proud to tell the crew down here that I met you . Until we meet again in Everglades drive safe . Love the video like always.
@OldLadyAngler29 күн бұрын
Oh for sure. I couldn't give either of them up, but fishing in Maine was much more pleasurable. Perfect weather, no one for miles, beautiful mountains, beautiful forest and fantastic fishing. The Smallmouth are a big bonus too. Oh and the Pike. Love catching those toothy critters. I'm looking forward to SoFlo very soon. I'll be in Jupiter first, then over to my usual spot for 31 days. I'll def holler at you!

Just a heads up....the water levels on the areas you and I chatted about on the James River are right at normal flow levels at the moment.....they blew out bad after the last storm, but they were so low prior, it didn't take long to get back to normal.

big ones usually stay in the same area but never on same spot
@OldLadyAngler28 күн бұрын
I've caught the same fish in the same spot - one week later - once in my life. He had a tumor, so it was very easy to identify.
