Who needs a 3rd row? I can't help but wonder which families in the North America are having 5 kids these days and actually need a 7 seater?! The average number of kids per family in 2020 in the United States is 1.93. In Canada, the average number of children per family is 1.1. In fact in China, the average number of children per family was 1.18 in 2020. India reports an average of 2.22 children per family. So if we assume the average family is having 1 - 2 kids, why would the auto industry be so focused on 7 seaters? OH yeah it's just marketing bigger and more expensive and more profitable SUV's that no one actually needs 🤣🤣 Of all the 7 row SUV's that are being sold, I would love to see actual stats regarding how many buyers actually use the third row! I would much rather have a smaller SUV with 5 seats, more fuel efficient, and ultimately more cargo room! That's plenty for 99% of the families out there!!!!

2024 Hyundai Tucson does not give 35 miles per gallon. Not even closed as per Hyundai techs that motors are very tight. I’m only getting 26 miles per gallon. Please think twice as you are not going to get the mpg that they are advertising

I regret buying the vehicle now I’m stuck with it.
@jgordon881Ай бұрын
There is a break-in period for the motors before it gets the advertised mpg. I have a 2022 Hybrid Tucson and the first year was around the 28-32 range. Now I get 35-40 on average. Drive it on Smart mode, not Eco (I know it's weird). Smart mode runs the EV mode more often. Also your driving style will change over time as you see what gets you the best mileage.

Check out Consumer Reports , ISee Cars, Edmonds and they will All say that the GM and Fords have horrible problems with engines, electrical and transmission problems. They may last 200K miles or more but how many times have they had to replace the items listed above from the years 2016 to 2023. The CRV with the 1.4L Turbo is a POS engine. What about the RAV4 naturally aspirated 2.4L engine with the 6spd automatic transmission?

Lots of incorrect information. It also blows my mind that any vehicle with less than a 30 mile range would be included. The Wrangler/Crosstrek/Aviator are terrible PHEVs. Their range just isn't usable, and they aren't very efficient when the battery is low. In all three cases the ICE version may be good value, but you'd be a fool to shell out extra for their PHEVs.

What’s with the stupid 3 row seat obsession. There are 3.13 people in the average family in the USA. The average family size has declined from 3.8 in 1940 to 3.1 by 2021. Yet car reviewers/manufacturers insist on having a 3rd row in crossover; and calling it a “family holler" (BTW - the real meaning of crossover is - glorified minivan). How many families actually have 7-8 people in them? Whose family are they driving around? Not to mention that most of the 3rd row seats are completely uncomfortable, difficult to get to and kill your cargo capacity. Plus they add weight to the vehicle. I’ve seen reviews of vehicles like the Honda Passport, where reviewers are complaining about not having a 3rd row seat. I see that as a benefit!!! Look if you need 7-8 seaters, buy a minivan, trust me these 3 row crossovers aren’t any cooler! At least a minivan is comfortable for all passengers; including your exceptional 5 child family…lol

Subaru PHEV Crosstrex as number 1? Really? You guys lost all credibility with this ranking. The Subaru has an EV range of a mere 17 miles. Useless! Any PHEV with a range of less than 30 miles should not be on anyone's list in my opinion. With such a low EV range, it would make more sense to buy a hybrid vehicle for better efficiency, cost, and reliability. Let's not kid ourselves here, the Toyota Rav4 Prime is number 1 and it's not even close.
