Coping with Labor Pain without an Epidural

I am also a believer. I'm due in a few weeks, planning for a home birth with my husband, doula, and midwife. It took us a while to find a midwife that didn't seem overly eager to use medications or transfer. My biggest fear isn't so much about the birth, but how people like my midwife will respond to things, like birth taking a little longer given I'm a FTM. She has mentioned epidurals multiple times in the past, and it has messed with me. I worry I'll be coerced into it.
