You are absolutly right with this. In my opinion this is exactly the reason why everything that michael vincent does looks so incredibly magical, and some of the things for example d&d do dont, even if they are by a Technical point more difficult to execute. Great Video, Hope you have a nice day :)

Please explain me how can you always have such an interesting point of view on everything you talk about... I mean every single video you take a single word or concept and make so much more wide and complex by putting yourself in every single spot around it that allows you to have any perspective possible, and moreover, it feels like you could go on hours and hours in teaching us so many more aspects of the topic you're exploring... This gift that you have makes you even more of a magician than you already are. Thank you so much for these videos! 😁

Also the fact that you check the comments and reply to insta DM's/tags is also not something every magician with your level of expertise does. Just another home run here! Such value in understanding your character and what you are transferring when performing. It's definitely something I constantly need to take a look at👀 Brilliant insight Jeremy, I really need to read that book. Love these videos you do and the information you share is fantastic. I’ve read “Magic is Dead” (which is where I first heard about you). I thought there’s no way this guy is so open to help people get better at magic, I thought it was Ian just using a bit of poetic license, but I’ve seen you in forums helping people get better at what they are trying to do. It’s amazing and when I get better at handling cards, I can’t wait to join you at a table. In the meantime, I look forward to the other videos you do.

Awesome video! This is always a topic that kind of confused me. It is kind of an important topic. There are a few different ways to look at it. The idea of "If you show off, people will attribute the trick to your skill" never made sense to me. What else would they be attributing it to? I'm not trying to pull an Uri Geller and tell everyone I got superpowers. I am never a fan of that. An explanation that made sense to be was Daniel Madison's where the more you show off, the more the spectators subconsciously pay attention to your hands and the more "on-guard" they are. Everyone typically brings up Lennart Green when talking about this. His messy style was super good in disarming people. But I don't think people thought that stuff just happened. I rambled. Whoops. Basically, I am wondering if I should do cardisty in front of people. I end up going "Screw it. I'm not a professional. I like doing it, and people seem to like seeing it"

Also recommended, "Annotated Erdnase" by Darwin Ortiz. The annotations are side by side with the relevant text so no flipping about, and it really helps give needed context and explanation of Erdnase's sometimes dense text. 🪄
