PIPE, Hey, good idea. I was thinking of stepping down a pipe to a smaller diameter for lighter weight and more air pressure. Looks like you have plenty of air pressure however. I need to reach about 17-18 feet to gutter guards. I just went from Ryobi cordless to DeWalt and will look into their blower. Thanks. And thanks for your thoughts if you get time to comment.

I am in the design phase to build one for my gutters where some are 21' up on the 2nd floor of a 3 story home with very steep roof. I considered using a shop vac, but I have a lot of pine/tamarack needles since I live in North idaho, so given they tend to clump up, thought there may be a lot of clogs with little suction of a shop vac doing a less than stellar job. Also considered my air compressor as I already have an aluminum extension pole to hang christmas lights over 30' on my roof, but a 75 yard walk to the shop, or putting in the UTV is a lot of work, and has the power issue like with the shop vac you have to keep moving as well. So, the answer I believe is attaching to my gas blower, which does have a lot of pressure, but for weight, and some added pressure, I think I will reduce it rather quickly to 2" schedule 30. I will play with it because it still needs to be rigid, but weight is also an issue. I think this will be the ticket and should be done this week, so will post the results. I do like the 45 degree elbow vs the 90 for both allowing less air resistance but also dry fitting for adjusting on the fly. My only concern is if it accidentally pops off and gets lodged in the gutter, so maybe a quick safety string screwed on from the end of the main tube to the top elbow will do the trick. I am not going to risk my life to recover it, LOL. Either way, it seems the blower is the best option, and still can be used on the roof areas to get needles out of corners, but also clean up the debris you just blew out.

Starz!!! A little late to the party here. Your instructions are really good. However, when i go to cut out the positive piece the depth (6mm walnut) is too deep for my 6.7 degree tapered bit. Do you have a recommnedation of how i can complete this please?

I think it’s the fact that the first cut is too deep - the assumption that there isn’t any material when I program in a SD of 4.5 mm and FD of 1.5 mm
@GearheadDaily8 күн бұрын
@@robertjones6649 Oh i see, you can use your clearing bit first, then use the Vbit last for a finishing pass, which won't take as big of a bite.
