Hey, loved the video...I'm a proud owner on a 2011 C6 Base model LT3 trim, manual transmission., I purchased it in May 2024, with 27K miles. Although my first Vette, I am however, the 3rd owner. Now the car is very clean and rides great, but I have no record of any maintenance. For starters I've done oil changes, replaced air filters replaced wipers, rotated the tires, I replaced Front rotors and brake pads, rear pads were also replaced, I've checked all fluids and so on. It now has 32K miles, should I change the differential fluid at this time. Also, the procedure you described does it apply to the 2011 C6.... Thank you for the video and look forward in hearing your thoughts.

Excellent video! Step by step instructions with great lighting and camera angles to see what you are doing. Using your parts links, I replaced the pads on my 2017 Grand Sport last week and it was every bit as easy as you described. Thanks for posting.

SO NOT FORGET TO DO THE BREAK IN PROCEDURE FROM POWERSTOP. I realized after years of using, it makes difference. You have maintain a smoother/ even ride longer.

WHEN I TELL YOU I WILL ONLY USE POWERSTOP FROM NOW ON. From my 99 park avenue to me c6. These are a great, great brand of brakes.

But we must keep in mind. That a lot of industrial dirt bikes, and other machines use oiled foam or gauze filters.

Z06 extra HP over the GS has exponentially high losses at high speed due to air resistance and is useless at low speed because it can't get the power down. The GS will literally be just a car length behind the Z06 at any speed or acceleration. The Z06 was built for those guys with more money than brain cells. GM knows their audience. 😆

I have a 2015 Z06 with 5500 miles and ordered the front and rear powerstop brakes; however, on my first front passenger side replacement the Brembos have a sensor plugged into the inner pad but the powerstop did not have a place for it to go. My question is where does that sensor plug into on the new powerstop pads? Thanks for any help. BTW when I called powerstop the guy told me that he didn't show them making pads for these cars, which we know they do nor could he tell me anything about where the sensor is serts. A wasted call the powerstop. Thanks again!

I don't get what y'all have against the squared exhaust tips, they fit the sharp lines and design of the C8 WAAY better than round or god forsake oval tips.

Does the car need an alignment after doing the lowering. My problem is I put a Zr1 replica front end on my C7 and it’s too low. So I’m going to raise my car up an inch. Great video and explanation! Thanks Jim. 12:10

Yes! I would definitely recommend an alignment after raising or lowering your car. I didn’t right away and had to put a new set of front tires on before I planned.

I know this video is 4 years old but hoping you will still respond. In the track mode display I find it odd that I cannot select engine coolant temp on the 4 small engine gauge displays. I have a Z06 so I do not have coolant temp on the right side below the fuel display, I have supercharger boost. Coolant temp seems to only be selectable as a single display in the middle of the cluster. Am I missing something? What I want are the 4 small gauges with oil press, oil temp, trans temp and coolant temp. Can configure the first 3 but not the coolant temp.
@Team5125 ай бұрын
I don’t think you can replace boost with another gauge. But not completely sure.
@orestkucyna55465 ай бұрын
@@Team512 , no the boost is a permanent gauge on the cluster, so the only way I can see coolant temp is vis the selectable gauges. It’s either 4 small gauges where coolant is not selectable, or a single coolant gauge. You would think in the track mode you want to see all vital oil and coolant temps.
