Another thing with breeding is that I wish there was an option to just move 5 eggs to your party rather than adding them one at a time, or trying to form columns (since the game puts the eggs in rows....) and then moving them in batches. Just more annoying, tedious crap. We know the developers agree that breeding stinks. They have basically done away with egg groups since everyone just uses Ditto anyway. They have removed egg moves almost entirely with the mirror herb. Bottle Caps, at least max ivs, basically make breeding for ivs pointless for all but the most competitive of players (and it's not difficult to imagine a 0 iv bottle cap being added to the game). Mints change natures too, basically removing everstone's alternative function with breeding. Basically, GameFreak has done everything to make breeding unesssential outside of simply gutting it from the game entirely. If breeding is to exist in future games, GameFreak needs to redesign it completely or just gut it from the games, as it's really just a holdover from the gameboy. Breeding is cool, but it can be redesigned from the ground up and used for a different purpose than it is now. I was so happy breeding didn't exist in PLA btw. Makes the game flow so much better. I'd also get rid of acquiring EVs from battles too. Like I shouldn't have to look up a chart/guide to learn which monsters I should face to gain invisible points the game doesn't tell me about, only to show me a blue overlay on the stats screen without telling me actual numbers. I shouldn't have to avoid fighting battles just to ensure I can optimize EVs. I don't even talk to trainers in Scarlet and Violet because I don't want the random EVs. It's stupid. All of this stuff from Gen 2 and 3 is stupid. Get rid of it and redesign it from the ground up.

Anticipation should reduce the accuracy of the move it tells you about by one stage. Because it's like a spidey sense, and your Pokemon now knows it's coming

For Regigigas, an ability that lowers the stage of its speed and defense for one turn every other turn, with a stage increase on the alternate interval for its speed or something. Give it a name like "low power", or "low energy", where it can only use its full power for one turn before having to power up again. Could play with how it works, changing the effects on intervals or increasing the tradeoffs, etc.

the biggest problem is that steel is op. too bad this video didn't cover that. i would take away immunity to poison. steel corrosion is a big weakness in real life, but biological and organic poisons don't affect steel, so i would make it 1x

Since steel types are often slow, I think that a permanent trick room could fit it well. I know it doesn't make thematic sense but it could be very difficult since most of the super effective types against steel are generally faster than it

the klutz you made would be completely insane, free knock off without damage, while eating your berry, imagine the effect that would have combined with the speed boosting berry, or attack boosting if there is one. also, switching in with a klutz pokemon would be insane against choice item mons who you resist. they lose the banded effect before the attack hits since switches always go first in a turn. volt turning with a klutzer would also be completely insane

As someone once pointed out to me when I wanted to make Water weak to Poison, it would make 2 of the starter types weak to the same type. Grass and Water already have a lot of overlap offensively, both hitting Rock and Ground, and further increasing that similarity might not be ideal. At the same time, I can't really justify any other type being weak to Poison.

Being honest, on the glass cannon perspective of ice type, I think this should be the change: Keep all ice type weakness, but now the only type that resist ice is Steel and ice is immune against itself, on super effective area, keep the ones we have, but not only we have acess to freeze dry to hit water for super effective, but we should make someone like that to hit steel super effectively, but these 2 moves should be learnt only by ice types, this way we can make the hyper offensive type, everyone can make some use with it, being strong against 4 types and only resisted by one and immune by itself, but ice type pokemons have a bonus in some special moves which add them more options to hit super effectively, going to a max of 6 types, a record, it would be really good against a lot of dual types because of the 4x damages, making that even the more bulky and slow pokemons can be an offensive threat if not delt with Also, we should really have gen 9 snow than old hail, and frost bite instead of freeze, I like ice type being more gimmeckish than an average and standard type, the idea of not being able to protect yourself from ice, just fighting it back is interesting to me, like in real life where people and animals always looked for shelter from the coldness, and plants either died or found ways to survive, most living beings can't naturally deal with the cold, and even the ones that can, just lower even more the temperature and they can't anymore If you REALLY want to remove one of ice's weakness, remove fighting, really, rock is already weak overall, fire makes sense and steel is the only one to keep it's resistance, now fighting, not only is the most whatever of the group, but back then, fighting was weak only against flying and psychic, even if ghost was immune, they were not offensively weak against it, while still being able to hit 5 types for super effective damage, what is more than even Ice's natural power, so if it's to nerf someone's offense to help ice, it should DEFINITIVELY be fighting

Personally, what I believe should be done isn’t a permanent terrain, since that's not competitive. Though, I do believe that there should be a "gimmick", like the Ghost-type Gym being a Spikes-stacking Choice Specs spammer. So, since I want to make Gym Leaders as competitive as possible, I believe they should all have 6 Pokémon, and are able to choose between 24 different Pokémon. The Player will be forced to change their strategy on the fly, depending on which 6 of the 24 the Gym Leader chose. Secondly, the idea of monotype teams has always bothered me, so that should be undone. However, they will still have most of their Pokémon be of a single type; 3 monotype, 3 coverage. Lore-wise, a Gym Leader is paid for being a strong trainer. Losing to 10-year-olds isn’t something they should be. Ultra Beasts and Paradox Pokémon could be used depending on the Gen and mode that is set, while 1 Mega per team would be mandatory to make the Ace make more sense. The AI should also make its move only after the Player, like in Gen 1. This means that the AI would always make the correct play, such as predicting switches.

Some ideas Corrosion: Can poison target regardless of typing, poison movest affect steel types Supersweet syrup should just activate every time switching in, intimidate does that as well. Honey gather could just lower evasion when the poémon uses moves on target or something. Effects with honey item also could be there? Emergerncy exit: If health drops to half or less switches out after moving, if cant move switches out anyways Defeatist could just boost attack stats when pokémon is confident, but pokémon goes to defeatist mindset when half or less and the stats are cut, could give a message of this when happens and when switching in. Archen and its evolution should in my opinion learn roost if they do not. Illuminate could maybe redirect bug moves and give immunity, or weaken ghost. Both? Too strong? Should have overworld effect it had as well. Flower veil: non-volatile status condition immunity also to fairy types, but not the stat dop immunity. Or the other way around? Water veil: burn immunity 1/3 less damage from special Magma armour: frostbite immunity 1/3 less damage from physical Curious medicine: removes negative stat changes from allies and and cures partys burn when swiching in Run away: Pokémon can always switch out or escape wild battle. Maybe frisk cold give poémon a stat boost if it finds an item, so it would be more useful if you know opponents team. Forewarn could in addion to revealing a move have immunity to hazards, and maybe pursuit. Anticipation could in addition to its revealing super effectiviness also make moves less accurate to the pokémon with the ability. The video tho had good ideas about anticipation and forevan, so? Castforms different forms could have different stats too and the ability to have sand form yeah. Mycelium might could just make the user immune to taunt and encore like aroma veil does. Stall ability could give the pokémon immunity some disruptin stuff, maybe status conditions taunt or flinch something. So it can just freely move last and take its time but not be bothered by other pokémon. Iron fist should have higher effect I agree. Early bird, the video had a really good idea. Giving speed boost and healing after waking up is nice in addition to half sleep turns. Tangled feet idea in the video was really nice. Increased, evasion, speed, crit chance and damage and crit immunity while confused.

Fairy needs to be weak to normal type. I mean it's in the name. The normal type represents the everyday real life which contrasts nicely against fantasy fairytales.

Big pecks needs more tweaking in my opinion. It's basically an inferior version of clear body or white smoke. Perhaps big pecks could increase defense by 1 stage upon switch-in. It's only ever on bird pokemon. Although, in the case of Pidgeot, it could be problematic as it does have a mega and is already bulkier than other birds.

Curse and root or rest is a great combination to 1 pokemon as snorlax because play with the life, apart with tóxic is better

Wonder guard should be immune to entry hazards, weather damage and status effects. The obvious balance to this is making any super effective status hurt shedinja. Like burn or stealth rocks.

Personally I'm concerning about Normal-type Its interaction with Fighting and Ghost are understandable, normal guy got knocked by experienced mma fighter and normies rarely believe supernatural stuff like ghost But listen, most normal individual also sceptical with myth, and often using logic to debunk myth, which mean: Normal should super effective against Fairy, like how normal individuals debunk myth Fairy is resisted by Normal, like how myth exist but could not make any sense to normal individuals I wonder if this will cause Normal-type becomes competitive enough or change nothing at all in term of gameplay and mechanic What do you think?

For a way to activate the mechanic a cool way could be in the pokeball itself, I think it was either gen 4 or 5 where you could apply stickers to your pokeball that played a custom animation when the pokemon is sent out, this could be something similar like you apply the fire sticker to your serperior's pokeball and now it can access fire mixing, but your opponent will be able to expect it since they will know which pokeball animation corresponds with which type, could be a cool way to apply tue mechanic without needing to abandon your normal held item, just how teras work now

Before I watch the video, imma leave my definitely sound ideas and then watch and return to my comment. -make fairy weak to fire -make electric weak to rock (so zaptos can join moltres and articuno in the 4x weak to rock gang) -make ghost resist fairy -make steel weak to electric -make water resist ground and rock (because obviously water needs a buff) -make rock weak to psychic (because why not)

I got my insight Run away: guarantee escape and switch out, also gain immunity against entry hazard Forecast: 1) gain additional type according to weather instead of replacing Castform Normal-type, OR 2) replace its type and any normal moves Castform has to match weather Iron Fist: I agree with you in this Early Bird: always wake up on the next turn and regain 1/3 health Anticipation: user detects an status moves from pokemon on switch, also work on newly switched out opposing pokemon Forewarn: same as Anticipation above but for super effective moves against it Tangled Feet: Double it's evasion and speed if confused Klutz: cannot use hold item, but switch item if makes contact (work both ways, defensively and offensively) Slow start: cannot move in 2 turns, also gain 2 stage increases stats if survived Big Peck: cannot have both Defense and Sp. Defense decreased My honorable mention; Defeatist: All stats dropped one stage if got hit with crit Malice: Intimidate for Sp. Attack Trusty Keeper: holding item boost Defense Sticky Hold: hold item cannot be removed or break Earthbound: similar with Forecast, for terrain This is my opinion, waddaya think?

Love it! My suggestion would be; a double edged sword for gym effects. A positive and negative. My thoughts: Electric: Tension In The Air + all electric moves X1.5 power + X1.5 Speed for electric types - All steel types cannot switch out. -A static shock can randomly hit after a turn, dealing 10% damage. Fighting: Battle Honor + All Fighting moves X1.5 Damage, + All physical attacks ALWAYS HIT. -K.O appointment means you cannot switch victor, until KO’d by opponent
