A lamb needs to be abused and tortured for proper drywall finishing? Yikes!

That was a ruff sanding😱 i work as a painter in Stockholm,Sweden so i don't know if the drywalls are different here but i have never seen drywall paper looking that ruff after a sanding. We always do up to level 4 but it looks like level 6 when we are finished😂 four 3bedroom apartments a week💪🎨

I recently built a wall and your videos helped a lot , thank you. I had one problem though, the proud fastener heads on the steel studs caused the drywall to crack when I screwed it on. I know a lot of people build walks this way, what did I do wrong? I used the thinnest head screws I could find

Use a spray bottle. Spray the seams. Use a plastic squeegee like one to get bubbles out of wallpaper. Tear and scrape. O eve the the paper is off let dry overnight. Next day sand. Paint with a sealer like Bin by zinzer or Gardz. Skim coat let dry overnight then primer and paint or wallpaper again.

I didn't read through all the comments, but if no one already said this, A+ to the camera person. So in sync with his movements and showing exactly what he intends.

Oh good lord. This is going to pop off the wall so hard. Why show people how to hack shit? Keep those secret if you insist on doing them. If youre going to make videos for youtube why not show them how to actually repair the wall? This is horseshit times ten

Looks like you made quick work of getting that little room built 👍👍 and ready for paint. Is that small commercial type of work have a decent demand in your area to want to do more of those instead of the home reno/repair work?

I do really like your channel and I like little experiments like this and what I’ve noticed in my own experiments is that depending on how well you embed that tape and how well it gets saturated with that mud also is a determining factor on how it peels
@glenmiles627922 сағат бұрын
I do hate it when they call it mud. and mesh tape is better,it doesn’t crack,come off it.

Im confused. I just watched a short of yours where you say not to sink screws like that because it can cause these pops. But your sinking them deeper than thay KZbin short repcmmends as the fix?

I've done enough drywall myself over the past 30 or so and I'm pretty good at it. What I've learned by showing beginners is that it's something that can be taught and practiced, but some people just have it automatically. There's a lot of skills like that (welding, carpentry, auto body, etc.) Great video!
