You can speed up the process of moving audio or midi parts. First you you cut the section, then consolidate with right mouse button or cmd/control J. Then simply move the part with the mouse to any folder in your userlibrary on the left side. You can move entire channels incl. chains or any clip there without saving the project itself. Try it.

@@MyshkoMusic With pleasure, bro. If you like, you can add this somewhere in your videos at some point. There are still many tricks that some people don't know ^^ Another one? :D ??Okay. Make a drumbeat, or chords in midi in the session-view. Activate the note -monitor function in the left corner below the "fold" option, to hear the notes you make (the little headphone-sign, this is important, you need to hear what you gonna do in this case). Then mark and grab some notes (eg. the hihats, or snares... decide), hold them marked. Push F9 for record and move the marked region around while playing (and recording :), to create unpredicted new patterns. While you do this, everything in Midi will be recorded in the arrangement view (every movement of the notes). You can also use the pen while recording in that container too (use the extratip below, if needed). Do this over a couple of bars. Then push Tab-key to switch to arrangement-view. Mark the region you created and find the best. Decide again. Push cmd/ctrl-J to consolidate. Grab this this fresh consolidated piece of art and hold it, while holding push Tab-key again and put the new created "container" in your session view. Extratip: If you hold ALT while using the pen in the note-area, only horizontal movements are possible in that row. This particulary helps to stick on pitch/notes while using the pen. Try it. Best regards

You open your big projects folder, go visit every track folder, and have no idea how they sound because you didn't render anything. Or sometimes you did and you can hear it. But then when you open the project, most of the time it misses some older vsts you don't use anymore. So you try to fix and rarely succeed. It's ok when it's a subtle tool such as en EQ, Comp etc. But if it is an Instrument or a creative tool with automations and stuff, forget it. So i agree with the video, CTRL+R for the sake of conservation guys.

Absolutely! Also, to counteract the missing media stuff, (at least partially) you can go into File -> Collect All and Save. It won't save your VSTs unfortunately, but all the samples will be retained even if you deleted them from their sources. (like if there's a sample from a drumkit you deleted) I usually convert my VSTs into audio to save CPU power, so in my case the audio files get saved. Idk u might have know about this tip, but I wanted to share just in case :D

Yes! I did this for many many years while I was still making music and sounddesign. have upwards to 1TB of samples from those days.. used to call it "sample-mining" and would sometimes make whole projects soley to strip it of parts. Great fun! I can also say that selling samples is possible.. I still get the occasional donation on my free stuff (all I have left up there) event though it's like 10 years since I moved on. Edit: In ableton, you can just consolidate a file (like cmd/alt J or something) and then rightclick on the clip and select "show in finder/explorer" and there it is.. Don't remember if this works with the sends you have on it, but I remember doing it saving alot of time.

Another basic but super effective sampling method - throw it in simpler slice mode, fuck around with sensitivity of warp markers and start smashing the keys until you hear some cool sequence then smash that capture midi input button, freeze flatten and voila

for y'all who grind for like 3/4 years, already release some stuff out there, just export ur project into separated stems when finish, why 3 years? that's i'd say u already improved and polished production,it's time to make something like signaturre sounds

There's some truth in that, but I'd argue that the sooner you start exporting, the better. Its good for even new producers cuz they can make it and solidify it as a habit. Plus, I think there's something to learn from using your own samples. In the worst case scenario, you'll just have shitty samples. U can always delete them later, lol

Let me tell you a little secret: you ain't gonna make ANY reasonable money with selling soundbanks because market is so saturated. Even more saturated than beatmaking market and it's only getting worse.
@MyshkoMusic
@MyshkoMusic 10 ай бұрын
At the end of the day, at least you'll have your own unique samples if you do it the way I describe in the video, selling them is just another option :DDD On a sidenote though, MAN that's a pessimistic way to think about it. What I'm about to say might be a little bit abstract, as I haven't sold any sample packs yet, but in my opinion, there's no such thing as a saturated market if you find a way to stand out. Obviously not easy, you'll have to make AND market your stuff somehow... But dang, to not even try is another thing. Take my channel for example - there's TONS of music content creators out there. Everyone wants to be one nowadays. I would argue the market is quite saturated... Buuut I still tried. I started from 0, kept improving, and recently somehow managed to break through and get to 1K subs after just 3 months (extremely proud of that btw) Sorry for the rant. Idk... I should start doing motivational speeches or somthing

That's because most people give up without committing to the grind, you can work endlessly for your entire life on a job, or start uploading samples on a daily for a course of few years, market it through social media, prove its valuable, and people will always buy. There are millions of not more people who don't know about buying samples, and that's where your social media platforms brings in new buyers who are not part of the saturated market you speak of. If they like your sounds you make committed customers and you can start to tackle bigger projects, all you need is few loyal customers to make a breakthrough. But at the same time it's always the people who never put in effort who say the market is oversaturated.

@@aigoated oversaturation isnt just some word ppl say. it is an actual, real world, physical occurrence. lets talk about my fav topic, morgpie. morgpie doest stream on normal cam sites because they are PHYSICALLY OVERSATURATED and it makes zero sense to try and make it big under those conditions. she is on twitch, where it ISNT over saturated with cam girls, and shes a hit. if you go through the same oversaturated channels everyone else dose, you are being dumb with your time. oversaturation isnt some vague term the haters will use when they dont make it, it is a real thing, and the sooner you see that, the sooner you will find avenues that ARENT over saturated.
@aigoated
@aigoated 10 ай бұрын
@@Nova_Afterglow interesting take but twitch is known to be amongst the top streaming sites. Even in the sense of not being in a physical place it is more saturated because anyone with a computer can start a twitch, leading to more competition than being in the actual world as you say. So your own example serves as a counterpoint due to morpies success. Unlike the actual world you can have infinitely more competitors online than in the real world because there are no physical limitations yet morpie was able to be successful.
