@H3gamer36012 күн бұрын
But when you fill it to it’s proper pressure then add weight, it’s gonna blow out because you didn’t vulcanize the rubber and you did it from the outside like wtf

These kits are designed to be used from the outside of the tire so you don't need to remove the tire from the rim. Check out more at GlueTread.com!

Removing the tire from the rim can be very difficult if you haven't done it before. This is a great solution for external, temporary use!

I can see this being done as an emergency repair on a trail to get back to the site or an emergency repair to get back home but not going very fast just a limp it back home but definitely not a permanent repair

That’s stupid lol. Why would you get rid of an actual tire. What are you gonna do if the tire explodes
@NoahinDatBusiness24 күн бұрын
Essentially if your tire explodes it’s gonna break a little more than just the rubber so you would need a tow truck anyway.
@iratepie842425 күн бұрын
So it will fix an exploded tire then?

Oh it works. Seen tires with 10+ year old liquorice sticks sticking out of the sidewall. 3-5 in each of the ripps in the sidewall. Still held air. Had cracks in the sticks used for plugging.... Tires were basically pure crack and dry rot. But still held air🤣🤣

Other than an emergency fix. In what scenario is patching a tire on the outside better than patching the tire from the inside? I'd imagine that somewhere in that "2,000 miles on it" you would have had time to fix it properly. I ask because it's the opposite what I've been doing for years and this could be an opportunity to learn something new.
@kevintucker3354Ай бұрын
Sidewall repairs only work for extreme emergency situations…
@K31amineАй бұрын
While on the trail are you going to de bead your tire. Take it off the wheel. And then patch it. Or are you gonna slap a patch on the outside and take 5 minutes then get home and fix. Use your brain for once.
@GlueTreadАй бұрын
Thanks for asking. These patches are designed to repair the exterior of any off road tire so that there’s no need to take the tire off the vehicle. While you can also use our patches on the inside of the tire (with lots of sanding) you don’t need to!

Yah nah, you dont just glue rubber together and have it last, especially on a sidewall. I especially wouldn't run a 60 year old tire. You can get new ones at Comer Tire, but they are over $600. Each.
