dismount the tyre and do it properly by putting a proper patch on the inside with vulcanizing rubber cement/adhesive, it wouldn't be a permanent fix if not. We do a lot of wheat and Barley and that outside patch wouldn't last 5 min.

Corn is worse and not a problem. It's not glued anyway it is vulcanized

Would this work for a cut on the sidewall
@GlueTread2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely- we have another video showing how to do that and Tractor Mike also posted a review of how to make that repair.

This might work on an inner tube that gets a leak while rafting down the river, but I wouldnt use it on my rubber boots let alone a tractor tire.

How thick is that patch material?
@GlueTread3 жыл бұрын
Great question. The rubber in our External Patch Kit is 1/8-inch thick and the rubber in our Sidewall Seal Kit is 3/16-inch thick

Wouldn't it be better to take the tire off and use roof cement is already rubberized

I would slime it first

GlueTread products can be used independent of any chemical sealant but when we use sealants, we prefer using FlatOut for several reasons. Checkout our website for more information on why this is!

How is this video still up? Yes it may hold for a year, but at some point something could tear it off or it could fail and then what? Try that on a sidehill with that tire down hill... see how far ya roll, or maybe that's the goal? lol I've seen these hold, but I would not allow anyone I know to do something this dumb

Your patch should not have sharp corners. If you round the corners, it will stick a lot longer and not peel at the corners.

Pete, thanks for the response! In our instructions, we recommend trimming or sanding the edges of the patch to increase longevity. With that said, even without sanding down the edges, the patch holds well and we are yet to have any issue with the corners even when they are left sharp. Thanks again for the comment though, great point!

As an off road tire tech for over 10 years . this is the stupidest things I've ever seen in my life. You say if your going air up the tire your going have glue around edges. Isn't the whole entire purpose of repairing a tire is so it can hold air . smfh .. listen KZbin there's only one way fix tires. The safe way hire someone that does for a living. Dont believe me KZbin Tire repairs gone wrong. Dont waste your money or time with product

I got a piece of tread missing off my skid steer winter tire about 1”x1” down to steal belts. Ballpark how much do you think that would cost to fix?
@Guerrero11876 ай бұрын
The right way?
@galehess66766 ай бұрын
yes, remove tire, patch from inside, properly, look it up. consider the force of the air is pushing out, and if you overload and that patch goes off and you lose pressure instantly on a side hill or any number of situations, you are dead. ignorance kills. i have three dead family because of poor /marginal choices while farming, some more than others@@Guerrero1187
