Shen is also a representation of the Mind. Pos fight against him was a battle to conquer the mind. Shen is an example of what not conquering your own consciousness can lead to - a dark path that you are entirely consumed by. Like how Tai was the Body, Kai the Soul, Shen’s fight is the toughest for Po I’d argue. Po not only has to confront Shen, but his past. By claiming victory over Shen, Po claimed victory over his past and his mind, whilst Shen’s own mind was his downfall due to his inability to conquer it..

I was with you until 8:56. A purely evil uncharismatic villain can be just as interesting as any charismatic complex villain can be, and this idea that deep and complex is sadly way to widespread in todays writers.

One of my favorite things is that Death does not appear to answer to any higher power. He does not have a quota, he does not HAVE to take a soul. He chooses who and when and that makes him terrifying.

I will fight on this point: Death is NOT a villain He was merely doing his job, but he kept on seeking this cocky, arrogant cat declare time and time again how he “laughs in the face of death” for 8 whole lifetimes. Now, all of a sudden, this same cat is now down to his last life, and NOW is all scared because he knows his back is against the wall. I totally understand Death wanting to scare him a bit to knock him down a few pegs and teach him humility. He wasn’t a villain. He was just tired of Puss’s shit.

Antagonist, not a villian. The Villian in the film is Jack Horner. Goldielocks and Death are secondary antagonists. While Death is the primary narrative device for Puss to grow as a character.

Ok I just realized that this video or channel MIGHT be slop or part of the slop genre videos... And other comments say that it might be written by ai and the contradictions... Long comment: Turbo/King Candy in his cybug form gets stabbed in the back by the long sword Masamune by Sephiroth in the air. ("Hey, you got something sticking out of your", and a falling black feather) An alternate ending I made up. Then his corpse being yeeted in two halves. And Sephiroth uttering "I didn't do this to save you." (And "I shall bring Sugar Rush true despair") But that doesn't make any sense, since Sephiroth appears out of nowhere! No clues or screentime! He is just an Easter egg/plot device. Some people would love it and say "That's freaking awesome!" but others would say and think "Who is Sephiroth? Why should I care?". Sephiroth was a fine individual, eventually breaking and turning into the antagonist we all know. And everyone knows how arcade rules work and the "go turbo" warning, thus it would be off-character, even for Sephiroth. Alright some other scary stuff in my mind about King Candy/Turbo: He didn't really die. He's code, he's bound to return. He'll truly become the most powerful virus, that we'll never get rid off. Him being trapped won't do anything. He'll break out. Even if he's trapped in an USB. He'll become a digital spirit like entity. Even possessing scrap and electronics. His essence will live on. He'll maybe become an eater-like entity (eaters are from digimon cyber sleuth), or even like Diaboromon (a powerful virus digimon of free type, who rose back from the dead, like Myotismon). Not even the power of Omnimon and Alphamon and other Royal Knights would stop him. (Although Beelzemon Blast Mode has Corona Blaster, which disintegrates anything and Omnimon X has "All Delete") Struggle, victory, but a false sense of safety, since he'll always come back! He might even become a prime soul! Is it his determination or adaptability? It's just my fear from him from my alternate thoughts. Sorry for long comment. (But probably the only way to remove him is the D-Mat, which will make him, like he didn't exist in the first place (or even the quantum distabilizer) ) Inspirations for it too: No one's ever really gone, you can't kill an idea and "I always come back!"

Lord Shen is Lord Frieza: a small albino Lord with a sophisticated tone who yearns for domination but fears a prophecy of being defeated by a chosen warrior (Super Saiyan/Warrior of Black and White) of a particular race (Saiyans/Pandas) who tries to avoid said fate by wiping out said races but misses a few. Later ends up fueling the Warrior by hurting someone close to them (Krillin/Tigress) thus being defeated and brought down with a creation of their own making (Destructo Disc/Cannon).

18:30 i think you're half correct. I think that 'the warrior of black and white' refers to both Poe and Shein so the interpretation of 'poe killed shein' and 'shein killed shein' are both correct

Having redeeming/sympathetic qualities as a villain doesn't equal redeemable, no one can be changed by force, they have to try. A really powerful type of villain that we don't see enough of is one who has all the qualities of a sympathetic villain; empathy, care for people close to them, a sympathetic backstory, but doesn't change.

512Thewolf512 had a interesting point with the muskets. I think that there should have been a scene, where Po and his crew face Shens wolf warriors, and expect to beat them with kung fu. But right in the middle of the fight, one of the wolves picks up his musket and shoots. I think that would create a really strong and scary scene, the loud bang of the musket and gunpowder echoing and others staring in disbelief.

You assume that auto is driven by pure logic and programming and has not itself gained sentience and fears its obsolescence and the loss of power that would result from the ship returning to earth and humanity becoming no longer dependant on it… it shows clear development assuming more and more control over the ship and its people until eventually taking total control. It’s very existence depends on being needed.

11:22 this part is actually quite tricky. It is a must that villains get advantage in order to raise the stake, but in many stories that I've read, it really less about villains outsmart heroes and authorities, and more about heroes and authorities magically become nut brain level of idiots when the plot wants it, and that makes the audience irritated instead getting hyped

Fun fact: I heard somewhere a while ago that the 3rd Kung Fu Panda was actually going to be WAY more brutal than our current version. But due to complaints from parents on the 2nd film, they backed down on the brutality, which sadly made people think that it was the worst of the 3. But now that there's a 4th movie that is way worse, I hope people realize that the 3rd movie was still pretty good.

Death is more of a force of nature rather than a villains, he is the embodiment of death itself, he doesn’t take pleasure in ending lives and taking there souls it’s just what he was made to do, and yes he does find joy in ‘trying’ to take puss last life but that’s understandable cause puss’s whole character is that he “Laughs in the face of death” so of course death would have taken that personally seeing puss just waste his 8 other lives away like they were nothing without no meaning so death is only showing puss that he isn’t the immortal cat he thinks he is but really a mortal being just like everyone else on borrowed time, he teaches puss that he shouldn’t waste his lives and actually cherish them like everybody else does, he never actually wanted to kill puss but to show him meaning in life cause he walks away at the end after seeing that puss did change and becomes a better person after finally understanding that life shouldn’t be messed around with, that’s why death walks away and doesn’t take puss’s soul cause he sees the change in puss and gives him a second chance like we all get, it’s like when your in a car crash and you face a near death experience but you survive it that’s you getting a second chance in life just like what puss gets when death lets puss live, so that’s what I’m saying about Death not being a villain in this movie, death just doesn’t go out of his way to take peoples souls when there not ready unless your puss who constantly mocks death with his multiple lives and then wastes them so he saw what was the point in puss living if he can’t cherish his lives, he is neither good or bad he’s just a force that can’t be beaten

I think the main problem with Kai isn't Kai himself, but the fact they make a gag out of no one knowing who he is, it turns his introduction from menacing to funny and thus far more light hearted than the introduction of Tai Lung or Lord Shen
@ap7635
@ap7635 2 күн бұрын
There's a few reasons why people find Tai Lung so sympathetic. The first is how vague his crime was. They always say he rampaged through the valley but they never actually mention a body count or how much damage he actually did. For all we know his crime was just a lot of property damage followed by attempted theft. In comparison Lord Shen (the second movie's villain) is known for killing almost all Pandas in an attempted genocide. The second reason is how horrific the punishment he got was. Constantly chained up and paralyzed for 2 decades straight. That prison was the definition of civil rights violations. Literally a fate worse than death in my opinion. The third reason is the simple fact that Tai Lung never goes for the kill when fighting the Furious Five. He easily could've slaughtered them but he doesn't even really hurt them tbh. Part of that is likely a flex but they were actively trying to kill him. So you've gotta give him a little credit for being so merciful. The fourth reason is that his backstory is genuinely tragic. People think Tai Lung cracked when Oogway denied him the title of Dragon Warrior. But in his flashback it's clear that what really broke him was that Shifu didn't even try to argue about it. Shifu raised him to be the dragon warrior. He gave him a name that meant Great Dragon. Tai Lung was willing to train until his bones broke, not because he wanted more power or a title, but because becoming the Dragon Warrior would make his dad proud. So it's only natural that seeing Shifu cave so easily would shatter him emotionally. It's worth noting that even with all these factors making him seem sympathetic, Tai Lung still is a villain. The darkness inside him was genuine, but it was largely the result of how Shifu raised him. Shifu had him focus all his time and energy on growing stronger. He also didn't have comrades to fight alongside like the furious five so it's only natural that he'd become solitary and start to view strength as the most important thing in life.

I believe that Auto was in fact following the 0th law of robotics. This law was introduced in Asimov's Foundation series, and (in-universe) is kind of meant as a fix to the original three laws. "A robot may not injure humanity or, through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm" This law was specifically for a scenario in which an action that would otherwise fall within the three laws, but would have long-term detrimental effects. The problem with this law is that it's very difficult to determine whether or not an action would invoke the 0th law. Auto's scenario could be the following: No contact with any other BnL ships (We never see any communication between Axiom and the rest of the BnL Fleet which appears to have been launched), Thus the humans on Axiom could be considered the last remaining humans. While the laziness of the passengers is certainly detrimental to the human condition, Auto's logic could be that the conditions on the ship are less damaging than allowing them to return home, And any action to decrease that laziness would risk them trying to return home. With the 0th law superseding all others, and the A113 protocol in place, Auto would be allowed a VERY broad range of actions not typically allowed under the three laws. Of course, as Asimov showed in his writings, the three laws are flawed from the start. The system is too simple, and lacks any room for nuance or unexpected scenarios, sometimes even basic human behavior will push the three laws to breaking.
