Well performance in the same on all of them. It really comes down to which form factor you want. I enjoy the SP because I love the clam shell. I can just throw it in my pocket without messing with a case. But if you are mostly going to use it around the house then that might not be important to you.

Have you hit X to refresh the rom list? Also make sure you have the right core selected for your games by hitting the select button when you have a game highlighted.

I have not yet had any issues with this but that might be because I have it set to update the time over wifi and when I save files the time has already been updated. . But I could see this could be a problem if the wifi is not setting the time before syncthing is updating the files. The new version of the MM+ with the built in RTC would be a good option if this issue is occurring.

@@PhyrexTechs Yeah I was envisioning the scenario where I was playing away from my home without WiFi. But I just learned my new Mini Plus is the new revision with an RTC chip, so problem solved luckily. Now my next puzzle is trying to figure out how to compile my own libretto cores for the Mini Plus so I can have the same exact versions across multiple devices so save states work properly.

From what I have noticed, it is not as strict as I initially thought. I have used cores many versions apart and as long as it is the same core at least I have not run into any issues.

Have not see that error before. Are you on muOS? if so what version and what device? All I can think of to do is to re-download the files. Both the game files and the Celeste zip file from the description then also reinstall the Mono runtime from the Portmaster runtime Manager.

@@PhyrexTechs Thanks for the reply. Yes, I am on MuOS v 2405.1 REFRIED BEANS. I am using the RG35xxSP. I have tried reloading the files several times but I can try again. From the little bit of research I have done, it seems to be a problem with the RAM...possibly the install process is exceeding the RAM on the device. Not sure why that's happening. It's a huge bummer because I love the game and I'd love to see it run on the device

Not sure if it would change anything buy you could try to upgrade to the newest version ( Baked Beans). You don't have to re-flash so its an easy upgrade. I'll see if I can find anything else on it.

You don't have to worry about that number. That is part of the text editor I'm using and it just means that is the first line of the file. I wish there was a better way to confirm it's working and there will be in the future when they add overclocking to the settings menu but until then they bast way to confirm is : Toggle the fps (menu button + X) Toggle fast forward (menu button + R2) Write down fps Do this with the same game with and without the text file on the SD card and compare numbers. If you are getting more fps with the file then the overclock is working.

If you are using muOS. Press the select button when you have a game highlighted in the game list. Then choose the system and core.

Formatting is necessary but the tool will do that for you as you go through the steps.

You can still fast forward with mGBA. The hotkey is menu button + R1 to toggle fast forward.

New update Beans(v11) has been released - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKrdmal-pb6inac Pico-8 standalone needs these 2 files with Beans(v11) - pico8_64 (instead of pico8_dyn) - pico8.dat If it's still not working you might need to set the emulator. Hit select when you have splore highlighted and choose Pico 8 (External)

Yeah, It seems like that RGlauncher was made for the exact version that come stock. I thought it was possible to add more however I have not found a way. Yes you can do a factory reset from the Android settings and it will go back to its Stock state with all the original apps. If you are wanting to use the new updated apps and want a good free frontend I would recommend Daijisho from the app store.

So that is because we are essentially only overclocking Retroarch, so while in the main menu it is running at the base clock rate. Then when you launch a game it will bump up the clock rate. This will be more easily viewable when they add the overclock option in the settings menu.

The only games that will work are ones that have been ported over by a dedicated community of nice people. You can see a large list with most of them listed here: portmaster.games/games.html There are still some not on the list like the full version of Celeste. Street Fighter 4 is not likely something that will get ported to these devices. A little too resource demanding.

I would answer with a hesitant yes. You may still get some slow downs in the most demanding games like Legacy of Kain:SR, but for the most part everything is smooth that I tried. There may still be games you run into lag that were just not optimized well. The slowdowns are not because of the MIyooMini, but with the game coding and would also happen on the original system.

I just double checked mine and do not see this issue. What device are you using? Is this on a specific CRT overlay or on all of them? Also, what core are you running?

OK, so I just tried it on my side with Robocop 3 and I see what you are talking about. This is not an issue with the overlays, but because a lot of NES games can have underscan/overscan issues. Some games have odd values that don't align with most other games but there is a way to fix it. While running Robocop 3 Open the Retroarch menu Go to Core Options Set: Crop Horizontal Left Overscan : 8 Crop Vertical Bottom Overscan: 12 Then go to Manage Core Options and select Save Game Options so it will save this for Robocop 3 only. Other games you notice with this issue might need different settings. All you have to do is increase or decrease the crop overscan settings until the picture looks correct and then save it for just that game.

For this price point your other options are going to be the Retroid Pocket 4. RP4 has better performance but you loose the OLED Screen and the ergonomic comfort. For me I like the RG556 but I'm a sucker for OLED screens. You may also want to wait to see how much the RP5 is going to be. It was just announced and will have an OLED and looks great. But I have a feeling that it will be a lot more expensive.

Yeah for some of them. If you have both BIOS the emulator should just auto pick the correct one when you launch the game though.
