hi is it possible to do exactly the same for film but in atmos 7.1.4, can you sell that template that would be great

Thank you for the tutorial, I genuinely appreciate it - but how is this even a thing?? In 20 years of using primarily Cubase, I have literally never once had to think about delay compensation. It's mind-blowing to me that this would not be an under-the-hood automated process, especially in the year 2024. Kinda takes the "Pro" out of the tools...

Does anyone know if it is possible to automatically make a small fade in the Clip gain when using the Option + shift + scroll on a specific range on a clip? The immediate change in Clip gain that PT creates by default will result in a click sometimes, so you have to drag the fades by hand which takes a huge amount of time if youre doing dialogue :(

Thank you, that was very educational Paul; especially the use of 1 band EQ.

I cant seem to get the hardware inserts right, the latency is not just unusably bad but also the latency itself changes almost every playback. So that means sometimes it works, sometimes not. Its like a cointoss. Of course I use delay compensation and I did try to set the hw insert delay but that did nothing.

Thank you, absolutely 100% useful for production broadcasts and podcasts, for fading in/out of themes, intros/extros, and music beds. Also, to increase/decrease the selective volume of a laugh or noise that's "stepping on" another interview subject. I was thrilled to find this educational, refreshing posting, as I haven't voiced or produced a Pro Tools session in a while.

So often I get ProTools mixes in for mastering that are 24 bit, when the engineer bounced the mix at 32bit. I send them this video to help get it sorted out with the Session bit depth settings. Thank you for this excellent bit depth and dither explanation, Paul!

Hi Paul, when does the “output settings” box become selectable? I ask because I need to run a sessions video live to a separate screen, and atm, in a PT session - even at best quality - it’s not a presentable quality to send out, it’s quite pixelated. PT 12.5 HD. Mac pro 5,1 Many thx

How can I do this in the newer protools? I can't seem to find the those setting options that let me offset the delay when the audio is too early... any help?

I've been a post mixer for 12 years, and a pro tools user for over 20. Just this year I'm starting to work with editors that utilize guide tracks and expect the dialogue editor to re-link to the field recorder audio. This was an incredibly thorough and helpful video, thank you so much!
