Everyone in the comments is like “he would have loved X game” but no, he would have hated every game except I Have No Mouth. He probably hated that too if he played it.
@dosnostalgic19 сағат бұрын
@@dextergrif That's why it's my favorite video to get comments on. It is hilarious that some people think that Ellison would even entertain the idea of opening his mouth to say that he enjoyed a videogame. 😂

They should totally make a remaster, with all the original content, voices, better quality music, nowadays palette, plus the option to switch to EGA by pressing a key (like in Monkey Island remakes)

I started making Privateer II The Darkening using this software as well as Animator Pro. We had an in-house exporter and model viewer called EOR at Origin and EA Manchester. I was one of the first artists to use 3DS Studio professionally in the UK. During the project, Autodesk came to see us to showcase the first copy of 3DS MAX. Then I got Photoshop.

lets see if you remember this game. i am still trying to work out what computer it was on it may been an early pc early 80s.. basically it was a filled vector graphics maze game.. at the top of the screen you had a map that started to fill up as you explored the maze looking for the way out.. there was an 3d rectangle or obelisk that rotated as it moved.. and it was trying to find you in the maze.. as it got closer it got lauder and if it sees you it would hit you and stun you and run off.. your map would vanish. and you would have to search for the obelisk and touch it.. it would freeze for some time allowing you to run away.. your map would come back and carry on mapping it.. when you found the exit you entered another new map. and i think they got more complicated as you completed them.. damn i just found the game.. ok now i need to find out the machine it was on the game was an atari 8 bit game. called way-out and i think the machine i used it on was the apple 2.. for years i have tried to remember the machine and game name.. and i have no idea how your video triggered me to find it.. so big thanks.. and a thumbs up. :)

I like better the VGA version. It's really nice. But I don't like this game itself. Magic with musical sounds? If this was a normal point'n click adventure game, with the using of items, it would have been pretty good. But this way, that's bullshit.

To be fair, SNES has 3.5 MHz cpu, when Sega has 7.5 MHz. With this and time limitation Wolf3d performance is good. Btw I've counted 80 pixels horizontally in this game 😂

I think it is funny to think that Harlan Ellison probably hated AND LOVED the German of the game. For one, it censors the Holocaust scene. Just gets fucking rid of it. But in return, that ALSO makes the German version unwinnable. Since you don't play Nimdok, you can't finish the game. That annoyed some players.
