Makes me think someplaces charge outrageous prices for people who panic when door handles break car places should not be allowed to put cheap handles on a expensive vehicle

Thank you for this AMAZING tutorial video. I was able to replace my door handle finally. I want to leave a comment in case anyone else is struggling with this whom potentially ordered a set off of amazon. 😭 The spring really lines up SO easy if it’s the correct spring. The handles in my kit were clearly labeled left and right. But the springs in the bag were not and it took me soooo long before I thought to switch out and try to use the other spring and it immediately lined up just like in the video. So- if you are wondering why the spring isn’t lining up please try switching for the other one so you don’t waste as much time as I did. 💀

About to have to do this for the rear passenger door on my 2010 hhr soon as I just saw it was broken somehow today. No idea how or when it happened, good to see it's as easy as I assumed. A lot of stuff on the HHR seems made easy to fix, with the unfortunate exception of like headlights and stuff under the hood, I was able to do a headlight once but it was a bit tricky and took much longer than i thought it would though I managed to avoid having to take apart the front end by going through the wheel well.

Thanks for the info! I had a problem with the steering Attaching bar coming loose due to a loose nut. After watching your video it was probably due to no locking washers installed. I tried to get more info on the attaching bar and I noticed the kit has a plastic cap with a black(looks like a plastic washer) insert. Hey what gasket did you use? I used the regular O ring gasket and it was a little bigger and its still leaking i feel these o ring gaskets are not it

It’s almost impossible to replace it with a crappy nylon pin. I’m guessing there’s a special tool for that. The replacement metal pin is significantly slimmer and makes the handle jiggle and the spring lacks tension. I put a couple layers of electrical tape around the replacement metal pin and it’s perfect.

Thank you for the clear instructions. The handle was available on eBay for about $9, free shipping. But, with such a large number of comments in the past 7 years, it leads one to wonder ... why did Chevrolet make such a flimsy handle in the first place?? Apparently, the handle should only be used to open the door (gently), NEVER to pull it shut!

Finally! A fellow Mech. who doesn't waste 20 minutes out of a 23 minute video just walking to the car, pointing at what is to be done, hemming & "uhhh-ing" along. A 10 minute repair condensed down to a 3 minute video. THIS GUY I LIKE!

This video was spot on and better than similar videos. Helped me to accomplish my project fairly easily.

This only applies to the M60 engine. M62 series engines thermostat housing on the water pump is different and this housing cap and thermostat type will not work.

If I have expired old brake fluid don’t put that in it has to be fresh brake fluid right when I do the replacement???

I know this is an old video but did you ever post a video about replacing the wood that backs the latches on your popup camper? I have the exact same problem with my 2001 pop up camper and I just want some ideas.

Makes sense why it takes so long to do repairs at the shop - can't do anything fast with these bulky gloves on!

That grease fitting isn't for the steering arm it's for the tilt and trim.

A couple of years ago, I changed out the driver's side broken handle, and the instructions were not this clear and precise. Well, the passenger side handle is loose, and I just purchased another handle...I will definitely use your video to make this repair. Thank you.

Only thing the instructions didn’t tell me is where to drill. Just says place bracket in front of frame horn and mark where to drill but doesn’t say where to mark
