Mate, 2021 French Grand Prix is so underrated, driver and strategic masterclass, payback to Mercedes’ Barcelona two stop strategy, it was a sweet revenge

His balance is horrendous. In 21 seasons he only won races in 9. The other 12 seasons have been a disaster. No matter how hard they try to sell him as something that he is not, his worst enemy is reality.

Talking about the driving style of the Michelin-Renault as smooth... I never would have used that word xD The car and tyres were design for a very agressive drive instead of a more smooth one. You can also see that Fisichella had the same driving style for that reason.

Crazy vague title with no substance to it in the video... To save you 10 minutes the "SCARY" truth about Max Verstappen is that he's better than Senna.

Alonso in his prime.. couldn't win an urban road car duel with a regular amateur rally guy on Hampstead High street He followed the driver out of the car into a supermarket where he sprinted past him on foot as revenge! Very petty, but, like the great Schumacher shows a huge appetite to win - at any cost. Respect! In summary, Fernando's good, nay great, but he's a bit short on the anticipation front ;-) BTW He's got himself a very polite and posh driver nowadays, perhaps to kerb the star's road rage about town?

Shut up idiot, Crashtappen is one of the worst drivers ever. Maybe the only champion who cant even reach a single podium without a GP winning car. Nearly 10 years of F1 and still cant do it. He is at most a new Vettel and even Vettel won races with ToroRosso.

For anyone who wasnt around during Alonso's prime, lets put it in context: he was immediately fast, immediately great, but probably tge 4th fastest driver on the grid. Schumacher, Raikkonen and Montoya were all considered quicker. Alonso did not look much better than his teammate Trulli an 04 (Trulli won at Monaco) and in 05 Kimi was the real star.

And in the four years, between 2017 and 2020, if Red Bull had provided him with a better, more reliable car, it is likely he could have won many more races, and be closer to breaking Schumacher's tally so far.

Different eras, different cars (materials, tires, engines, etc...), so hard to make one for one comparisons. What can be stated though is each one shares the same attributes of wanting to win, demanding everything from the team and themselves and being fiercely competitive. That's what makes them equal, but to say Max is better than Fangio or Senna was better than Max on the track is almost absurd.....could either Senna or Max drive [and win] what Fangio drove? And what would Fangio do with Max's steering wheel? Bottom line, Senna & Max share a killer instinct on the track that few have.

The only thing this master could not achieve was bearing the boredom of Indianapolis. Either than that, he won everything. And as it is said below, he just need a good car. With the Aston, a no points car, he has achieve poles and excellents qualies. With only his bravery and the nicest driving. Will not deny the excellence of Max, however, Alonso has the old school flame.

Fernando between 2010-2012 was wild. Car was like 3rd fastest all szn and was still fighting for a championship. Rarely does the second fastest car fight for a championship, it’s 90% of the time the fastest, let alone the 3rd fastest lol
@flazone44867 күн бұрын
More between 2009 and 2014 than between 2010 and 2012, in those 6 years he was just producing miracles in every Grand Prix with mediocre cars
@zLusso7 күн бұрын
@ I would agree with 2009, and potentially 2013, but that 2014 Ferrari was straight garbage, even he couldn’t perform in it. Still out performed the car, but it was so bad that it’s genuinely hard to judge.
@JorgeMoreno9221 сағат бұрын
@@zLusso I will include 2008, he was the driver who score most of the points in the second half of the season when the Renault got better upgrades. Also 2014 wasn't garbage I think it was another great season (in terms of driving abilities), he outperformed that infamous oversteer and understeer car; he got the triple of points than Raikkonen and got two podiums nearly winning a race.
@zLusso20 сағат бұрын
@@JorgeMoreno92 well yeah that’s the issue, the Ferrari was garbage. And it’s hard to note the performances really since the car was so dog shit. That’s why I don’t include 2014. End of 2008 I somewhat agree, but I feel like it does his true prime injustice because it wasn’t nearly impressive as his 2009-2013 era. That was where he really did shine, and given better machinery could’ve grabbed 3 or 4 more championships.

I think one of the reasons people like to diminish current Lance Stroll: he showed potential, but then the mistakes, man, the silly mistakes! It's getting worse and worse. Once in a blue moon, he'll drive like his life depends on it, but most of the time, he just acts like he doesn't want to be there. He's taking the seat of a promising young talent (Drugovitch) just because daddy owns the team. He should just go do rich people stuff like hanging on a yacht, playing polo, whatever... when you don't want to be there, just leave. Congrats, you've achieved what so few people have done. Now leave!
