This was so refreshing! I know I also get tired of seeing the same types of DIY art over social media/Pinterest. These were some good, new ideas

I love the idea about the vintage cards. I love cats and classic films and a few months ago, I came across this painting of Vivien Leigh posing with her cat. I had never seen it before. I saved the picture and then had it printed at Walmart. I then found a pretty frame at a thrift store and it’s now hanging on my wall. The frame and the print together only cost me about six dollars.

This time of year, your local artists are selling art cards. I work in a fine art printing and framing shop and we print a lot of cards. I love buying a beautiful card and framing it. Art cards are usually 5x7; you can find a nice 8x10 frame with a 5x7 mat opening in most stores.

Thanks for all the great tips in this video! You always come up with ideas that are unique, doable and that actually look good instead of the all too prevalent DIY ideas that tend to saturate social media.

Great ideas LK. I have a mixture of these in my home too. Charity shops here in the UK are good for greeting cards and old postcards. I cam across some vintage ones recently that would have been beautiful framed. I have a small, plastic, gold Stag's head that was actually a Christmas tree decoration but I stuck it to my wall and put a gold frame around it as part of a gallery wall. So many options as you said 🤎

Happy Sunday from the PNW, LK! Your ideas are always amazing! RE: framed art, I had a couple of artist clients in a previous career. I found a watercolor piece in their recycle bin and asked if I could have it. Many years later, it is still enjoyed and hangs in my home! 😊Looking forward to part 2!

Suoer unique ideas!!! I was very impressed 👏 🎉❤!!! And this is coming from someone who has hung everything and anything on their walls! Lol im a electic maximalist. So any home I've ever lived in was drenched in art from floor to celing. I just moved in September and took down well over 80 different art pieces in my small bedroom alone 😅! Can't wait for the follow up video! Cheers!!!

I love the shadow box clock you redid in green. So unique! I look for something like that in every thrift store estate sale etc., that I visit. Same with the copper pot. I’m in the process of making the divot you made as well. You have given me so much inspiration!! Love your channel 🥰

Moved into a new house one year ago, and couldn’t bring myself to put nail holes in the walls for a good 5 months. I’ve gradually added some pictures but don’t know that I could ever hang a wall full of mementos. It’s worth keeping in Ming, though - I have one big blank wall that desperately needs something.

We have a huge book sale where I live every winter. They will have donations for the book fair for a full month, then they have the sale in a huge warehouses! The most i've paid for a book was 5 bucks. This past year I found coffee table books of some of my family's favourite artists. I framed pictures for said books for Christmas gifts this year and have a bunch for my home!

I scanned seed packets into my printer, blew them up to 8 x 10, matted and framed rhem. Viola! ( they were very old packets, so hopefully there was no copyright infringement. If there was, just use the packets themselves as art)

Having a few personal photos is important - especially if you have kids. Kids feel a since of security and value when photos of them and their family are displayed at home. But I couldn't agree more that they should be more interesting and candid photos versus the cookie-cutter staged family photos. In my opinion, the more interesting photos feel so much more authentic anyway.

I just moved into my "retirement" home. My larger art and decor don't fit and I need new ideas. Greeting and postcards matted and framed is just the idea I was looking for small vignettes. 😊
