I remember when I watched Edgy Rick back when I was playing Don't Starve because I was a kid, I wanted to get better at the game since it was hard, but I didn't know what fact checking was or that he wasn't the best source of information. Here’s something else you didn’t consider about his insane meltdown on “don’t starve”. He literally had “edgy” in his name, he was clearly trying to be a provocateur. It’s possible he didn’t actually believe in those things, and that he was just trying to shock and offend people. I did and said absurd and awful things as a young teenager to shock and offend people. It was my way of feeling like I had control, and it was also a shield to protect myself from appearing weak and potentially being hurt. My point is, it’s possible he was just saying those things to be shocking, the same way teenagers invoke Satanism or try to act like gangsters. I wouldn’t judge him for dumb shit he said on the internet at 16, as unhinged and insane as it was. In fact, it was so unhinged and insane that even if he did hold those views, it would indicate that he was a damaged kid who needed help. So, to me, your most valid points are that he’s a dick to his audience, he responds poorly to criticism, he’s immature, and his content is low effort slop. All fair points. Unless you want to argue that BLM represents all black people, in which case I would point out that lots of black people have disavowed them and spoken out against them. To be fair, the cheater may have (and likely) intended it as a racist gun name, but in that case the racist part is associating all black people with a political extremist movement many of them don’t want to be associated with. It’s still an objectively toxic name, but you can’t really say it’s racist. That’s like saying a gun called the Taliban Tranquilizer is anti-Muslim. It implies the Taliban represents all Muslims, which it obviously doesn’t. Nor does BLM (especially the more violent factions of it) represent all black people, despite what the name would suggest. It’s semantics, and it doesn’t invalidate your point, but it’s important to point out.

Lmao I don't really fw proto's in TF2 either, I've encountered and have had to block too many skid-protogens to allow them to have a positive trust factor in personal experience.
