thanks kyle and aaron :) - algo for future. long short swing momentum - idea generation, backtesting, live trading, volatility, diversification - dont overfit by having less parameters - turning over stones in r&d - each strategy has different rr structures - short term price patterns for trading int he market book. toby crable. bought back all the books because he realised he came away his strategy about opening range breakouts - inital signals and then confirmation signal to know market wont reverse or to trade at a specific time - he's purely PA, not fundamental, volume - like trade station - twitch parameters a little bit and if it changes significantly, you're overfitting your models - likes to use least parameters possible, usually 2-4 fully optimised. wouldnt use more than 5 parameters fully optimised, because increases change of overfitting - he backtest back to 1997 - avoid overfitting to check in different time periods, not use so many parametres, look at small changes in your parameters and see if that significantly changes your backtest or not - check in live trading that is your strategy outperforming in good market - focus on robostness of your strategy so in bad market environment, you wont question yourself too much - he only intervines if there's too much risk on/ exposure - take a long term view on your strategy

What a clown. As soon as he mentioned edge erosion and when he was acting like a bitch when the host mentioned setups, i just had to take it off.. Horrible interview, if nine figure traders openly talk about their strategies who the hell is this flop?🤣
@mrdillion95516 күн бұрын
I quite agree that some traders fake it but not all of them, what we fail to see when talk about growing accounts at an exponential rate is compound interest. It may take you a year to take 10k to 100k, and just 2 months to another 100k(doubling your Intial100k)... that's compound effect.

@@ChatWithTradersPodcast Please continue to uphold the high level of integrity that this channel is known for. Lately, there’s a trending trading channel that mix in both legitimate traders and unverified or even outright scammers. This approach is harmful, especially for those who are still learning the ropes. I hope Chat with Traders maintains its standards and never compromises by following this trend.

When someone claims 10K to 3 Mill in years, just too good to be true to believe it. However, Nothing is impossible. It is your job to verify the facts by verifying audits to keep your reputation clean. There are people they say crazy things and make you to believe.

@waltere.poquioma32518 күн бұрын
Great episode!, enjoying it so far. Just posting this question before I forget: when he talks about the strategy he uses when he sees unusual Open Interest in options. He says they buy the stock and sell the call meaning they sold a covered call. If he waits for the option to drop in price to buy it back and close his position does that mean he also has to sell the stock to have no risk exposure. In that case he is hoping to capitalize purely on the Vega as any change in the option price due to the Delta would have affected the stock harder? Am I right or am I missing something?
