You just take too long to get to everything sometimes if people would just put a list at first and then we could go over it but I hate waiting all the way to the end while you slowly very slowly explain which is good for slow people like me so it's not a bad presentation I would just like to see everything listed as you go down the list. That's probably my hyperness not you

I find it hard to do PD and it’s been very inconvenient. PD gives me bad breath, specifically breath that smells like medicine. Another thing is that this takes a lot of my time- I feel less motivated and consistently tired. I’m going to back to hemo as a result.

Yoga is satanically evil and tai-chi sounds evil. Be very careful with your meditation methods*...A deemon(s) may raise your BP and it will do worse things to you, as well! *If groups of people tell you that something is bad, you can find evidence to back that up, and/or you can do without it, it's best not to do it due to the risk involved!

I started hurting awful in my left side & bleeding. I went to the ER room and a doctor called did test then a scan without contrast & with. so after a few days in the hospital 0,my doctor came in to see me on Saturday evening. He said that i had a mass on my kidney. he said i would be having surgery Sunday morning.. so the mass was a cyst & had busted. It was eat up so he removed & cleaned it up. Then my left kidney wasn't healthy & had to be removed. I don't know if any of this helps you but if you have both kidneys then get away from red meat & processed meats, no salt added to food. drink plenty of water & be checked out by internal med doctor 2-3 times a year. I wish the best for everyone GOD BLESS Y'ALL

I’m shocked that doctors do not give proactive warnings about hypertension leading to kidney disease. Then we wonder why our healthcare system is overrun with sick people. I believe doctors and HMOs would do way more to lay out possible consequences of eating poorly, besides saying it’s bad for your heart.

I just found out that within 18 months, my GFR has dropped 20 points. I haven’t done anything differently in the past 18 months and I’ve never had high blood sugar or blood pressure. 51 year old male and my GFR went from 77 down to 57. What in world could cause such a thing and when will my GFR value level out-if ever?

Wow, I just watched this again after being tagged. I just saw about not wanting to eat meat cuz it doesn’t seem appetizing. Mine was the exact opposite. I’m CRAVING steak. I’ve never even liked steak before. It’s so weird. But what’s even more weird is that even without any kind of treatment my kidney function is NORMAL now according to my last labs last week. How the heck can that happen? From a egfr of 29 in March to 71 now?? Is it possible to have a normal reading but still have kidney disease? If my kidneys are normal then the doc thinks it could be my heart! That’s not good either. An ekg did show I had a heart attack in the past. But I had no clue.

Yeah, if the Dr’s will listen and follow up. My blood tests were off for over a year. I didn’t know anything- Dr ordered them but never went over them with me. And I kept going in every 3-4 mo. for a year and 1/2 - or more. I kept telling her: I’m tired, head itches, finger nails are bad, hair is falling out, I don’t feel like doing anything - I want to go out but it takes all my energy to get ready and then I end up being too tired and staying home anyway - something is wrong.” I was gaining weight every time I went in. I had extreme urgency to pee, my abdomen was extended. The Dr. told me every 3-4 months to fast and eat better and exercise. “Are you fasting?, she’d say every time. I am (was) in extremely good shape. I gained 15-20lbs over that yr and 1/2. 5 or so ea time I went in and I was eating less. Granted exercising less too (so fatigued) But a year or 1/2 into me “bugging” my Dr. I told her, when she said again - fast/exersise, I said, I haven’t been eating. I am nauseous and get full with just a few bites. My sister came to visit and made a comment to my brother, “She never eats” The Dr looks at you like “really” 🙄 you’ve been consistently gaining weight for a while. But I found out later (retrospect) if she would have paid attention to my blood tests - they were in line with malnutrition. One of the last appt she walked in room and said, “You’re not complaining today?” I had gotten indifferent, I guess. She asked me, as usual, “So, anything new going on?” I said, “I had a brief and small spotting last month.” The 1st time she had ever - stopped, turned and said, “What?” I was surprised. She always just acted like she didn’t really hear me. For this symptom she said, “I want to send you for an ultrasound.” I had ovarian cancer taking up my whole abdominal cavity. When I Iooked up who is a risk / Symptom & Characteristic: I saw I had every one of them: I was post menopause, never had children, severe endometriosis during my fertile years all together with my symptoms … I WAS A WALKING POSTER WOMAN FOR OVARIAN CANCER! Of course I had ovarian cancer. With the knowledge I found out about. I’d be suprised if I DIDN’T! They said it was so large it’s as if I’m 6mo pregnant. The MRI Dr asked me 🤔 “Are your clothes not fitting? Tight across your midsection?” I said, “Omg, yes among other symptoms.” He said, “Well, I guess so. It’s like you’re 6 months pregnant.” I asked if he would show me the MRI. He did. I said, “Where is it?” I was looking for something in the middle of the picture/abdomen. He said, “It’s all the white area.” and circle outlined my whole abdomen. 😮 What? Then I had to fight to get an appt with an oncologist. They have all these people to put you off. I kept at them. I called every day for 2-3 weeks. They kept telling me they would call back. Nobody available. Then after 2-3 weeks Oncology dept said they can get me an appt with an Oncologist in 3 months. I said, “Do people just die during this process? This thing is huge.” The Answering lady said, “You don’t know for sure it’s a cancerous tumor.” I said, “You Don’t Know It Isn’t”. She was so - just put out by me. I kept calling back and got a nurse that said she would have a Supervising Nurse call me back. (always had to stay by my phone - you can not return their noreply phone calls.) That Nurse got me an appt with a Dr. within 2 weeks. And within those 2 weeks I ended up one night in so much pain- I couldn’t stand up. I went to emergency. 🤷🏻♀️ But the ER Dr took CT scan. He was so sweet. He came in. Took my hand, as if I didn’t already know. I told him. I know. I’m waiting. He said, “You need this out of you NOW.” I said, “I know. I fought tooth and nail for over 2 weeks to get appt. It is schedule in 12 days. I went to that appt. It was on a Friday. I liked my Oncologist (once I got one) she said, “Can you be here ready for surgery Monday morning at 6am?” Uhhh, ok. She said, “I’d do it sooner if it wasn’t Friday afternoon.” She had to cut me from above my belly bottom, in a half circle around my belly bottom, then straight down to pubic area. Because of the size of the tumor and they have to power wash your abdominal cavity for cancer cells. 😂 Ok, not funny. But true. And it was cancer. So you don’t only have to tell your Dr. you need to make sure they listen and fight!

You made me cry 😢 I don’t know what stage I’m at just that my kidneys are failing, they have spoken to me about the catheter in the tummy treatment which I’m not looking forward to, I think it’s the restrictions I am going to face when I had so much planned. Anyway yes the cramps in the calf are killers for me they are really painful luckily not had many recently. Wishing everyone the best with you journeys

CKD patients need more guidance on how to best follow a whole plant based diet. We need charts that list each food with its protein content per half a cup portion in order to figure out what foods and how much of it we can put on our plates at each meal in order not to go over the daily limit. We are told to restrict our protein intake to a certain daily amount based on body weight but I have not been able to find a standardized chart that tells me at a glance the protein content for each food so I can plan my meals accordingly. We shouldn’t have to be guessing every time we fix our plates. The same goes for phosphorus, potassium, sodium and fat content. This should be the most basic resource that a CKD patient should have available at the PCP and nephrologist’s office, at the National Kidney Foundation etc. If you know if such a chart exists please let your viewers know, I and most of us would certainly buy it immediately. Thank you.
