One of my favorite songs from the 80s.
Radio Ga Ga by Queen from the album The Works (1984)
Written by Roger Taylor
featured the Oberheim OB-Xa, the Oberheim Matrix-1000, the Oberheim Xk, the Yamaha Reface CP and the PPG wave 2.2
(in the original song is the bassline made with the Roland Jupiter-8 arpeggiator)
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.

I just love the sound of all these synths when they come together and make great music. This was a good year for music in 1984 I remember it well. Never bought a queen album but always like their singles. Anyway thanks for sharing these great synths with us and their beautiful sounds. As always fantastic channel and fantastic musician playing these great songs.

Though I thought Fred Mendel played his parts on “Radio Ga Ga” on a Jupiter 8, I still like the idea that he played an OBXa instead. I knew that Freddie Mercury and Brian May played an OBX on *The Game* and *Flash Gordon.* Killer (Queen’ how you were able to use the Xk’s front panel controls to tweak the filter cutoff of the Matrix 1000.

In the original song Queen used the JP8 for the bass arpeggio. But the Matrix do the job also good. The envelope is a bit slower but I like it. Thank you for your feedback
