There is no official open house for Punggol Coast Station only Opening Ceremony. Therefore Train enthusiasts took the initiative to conduct an open house.

So in exchange of the 'land' given back to us, they got Marina One and Duo plots of land...freaking good deal!No wonder go ahead with it. To them the train and land here are of no or little value to Malaysia side.Well, but at least we got back more plots of land to build other stuff!

Expect that all NEL Stations will have their exits renamed to numbers
@gwarguraqueentrickstarcoat91103 күн бұрын
Yep But there is a missing a station in the line That area has no development there yet
@awesomezinyew3 күн бұрын
what I'm about to say is irrelevant but if you're interested If NE2 went under construction in the near future, it's likely that SBST will change the DRMD on C751C and C851E to change the led of harbourfront to NE2, and add an additional LED for harbourfront further to the left, mirroring PGC. Though this change would only happen a few days before NE2 opens for passenger service, seeing that the DRMD was only changed to include the new fat codes, TEL, and a hidden PGC days before TEL3. In my ocd mind, the odd spacing of harbourfront and PGC between the doors opening arrows would become consistent at last after that

The new station has a really cool and amazing exterior and interior designs and having a feel of TEL4 vibes, while it is one of the biggest NEL stations (joining with Dhoby Ghaut, Sengkang and Punggol). The demand I assume will be higher compared to the NSL Marina South Pier as there are several amenities and nearby housing flats and with the Punggol West LRT near as well. Punggol now is the CBD version for the North-East region with the new station as well as upcoming bus interchange soon

A great new addition to replace Coastline LRT (which was never built)!

I wonder what it would've looked like.
@awesomezinyew3 күн бұрын
Tbh it probably would've looked like the standard cyan PGLRT stations but looking like Teck Lee before its opening
@RailFilmmakingSG3 күн бұрын
Honestly if PN1 was built today it most likely would have been called Punggol Coast too, and had a tap-out interchange with the MRT station, at least that's my conjecture
@SGrailadventure20043 күн бұрын
@@RailFilmmakingSG But probably useless compared to the MRT station itself
@Rhyzizzfoxboyd23 күн бұрын
Wondering where the PN2 Semangat and PN3 Minpiti could be... If PN1 Coastline was built, it would've been built where Director Javin Ye was standing near Punggol Coast MRT exit 2. After Coastline station, the tracks would possibly go under the two red-coloured linkway bridge/linked bridge ( 8:39 --> seen behind Director Javin Ye) then possibly go to three other 'PN' stations (PN2 Semangat, PN3 Minpiti and PN4 Coney Island)

Wow kudos to the better production n efforts for this video!! But how long will this series be to sustain long term viewership based on just our rail subject alone? Perhaps u might change the channel name so that u can produce different subject matters in the future... like on all transportation history in Singapore. Just my 2 cents. 😂

The Circle Line and Downtown Line are also physically connected together at Bayfront station. The turnout connecting the 2 lines is just after the platform.
@kohwenchieh4 күн бұрын
Not sure if you guys are aware, a section of tracks on the Circle Line was removed about 2+ years ago. There used to be maintenance facility beside Marina Bay CCL station, and there was a track branching out from the diamond crossing in front of the station into it. The track has been removed, and the maintenance facility has been converted into something else, not sure what it is though.

I'd argue that the Punggol North LRT episode would resemble that Unfinished London episode more, as that story is somewhat more similar to the failed Northern Heights plan.

Any Malaysian here? 🇲🇾
@lkh-xj1ck5 күн бұрын
6:06 Just a nitpick here, the simple statement of "The railway lands still belonged to Malaysia" could and have been be misinterpreted by many SIngaporeans as "the lands is still the sovereign territory of Malaysia", which is untrue. The Singapore Railway Transfer Ordinance 1918 said the railway lands are owned by the "Chief Secretary, Federation of Malaya", in which this position has later changed its name into "Federal Land Commissioner" (recognized by Malaysia's Federal Land Commissioner Act 1957 and Singapore's Federal Land Commissioner, Malaysia (Incorporation) Act 1959). These laws combined together basically means only the Malaysian Government *privately* own those railway lands, but not the country of Malaysia, and they are not the sovereign territories of Malaysia either. Singapore laws and sovereignty continue to apply on those lands since its independence in 1965. The whole situation is akin to the government of a foreign country owning a piece of land to host its embassy in a host country, or a foreign government's company bought a piece of land to build its office tower in the host country, but such ownership doesn't mean the host country lost its sovereignty over those lands.
