My Goodman gas furnace, the ingniter glowed, but the gas didn't turn on. The control board did three short flashes every 2 seconds or so. Any ideas?

Hey Shane, great video bud. Good advice on the date code as well and the longevity of the product as well. Something you might want to consider or even include in your video is the application to the underside of any shrubs or bushes, ect. It looks like your yard is mainly cut down like a lawn so to speak so your applying to everything you consider yard space. But for those who have bushes it’s probably worth telling them that they need to apply the product to both the top and bottom sides of the leaves because the mosquitos like to hide when they can and an application to just the top side may not affect the mosquito as intended, in which case might make you look bad because people will say hey we tried it and it didn’t work when in fact it would work had they applied it to 100% of the plants and vegetation in the area they are treating. Just thought that could be of use in your already useful and thorough video and obviously it’s gonna be hard to cater to everyone but I think that tip will get you that much further. Ive seen some applicators on Amazon I believe that are designed for doing just that, reaching the underside of things your treating, but if someone already has it in mind that they need to pay special attention to the underside then they can succeed themselves if they in fact make an effort to make that happen when they spray down the area. Hope this will help those that may have overlooked the underside application need.

Thanks! I have a Goodman outdoor gas pack style furnace. I followed your logical steps and found mud daubers had somehow clogged the pressure tube orifice. Cleaned and furnace works! I appreciate your help!

You sound like hank hill and are sharpening a mower 😂 Nice video though man, im about a third of the way through, there is a old push mower in the shed that belonged to the previous owner of the house. It's blunt as a butter knife but it runs fine. I've been restoring the shed (was starting to fall into disrepair, plus ive just got a lathe and wanna turn the shed into my woodwork hut 😎) I want to sharpen the mower and take the little bits of rust off it and give it a new coat of paint. It's a good one, made in England, it deserves to be restored

I just had an experience with a 14 yo Goodman top of the line natural gas furnace. Tech support was useless. I replaced it with a top of line Lennox furnace. I have two more Goodmans in some rental units. At the first sign of trouble I will replace them with Lennox furnaces. Goodman left me no choice.

I’m going to convert my gen to natural gas. I’ve got the carb on order from Amazon for $21. The biggest expense is the 24’ x 1/2” hose needed to get it away from the house , and the shutoff valve and fittings to put it all together…..that’s another $100. 😢. Wish me luck. i got one of these in 2021. for my 12x16 house i built i just relit my pilot light. wish i had one of those giant propane tanks then i wouldn't have to get more propane all the time.

My 9 year old Goodman Furnace GMS81005CNBE stopped starting. After studying You Tube videos like this one which is excellent I learned the start sequence and noticed my electric motor inducer fan that exhausts carbon monoxide from the flames would not start. Board had a solid red light. When I pressed the body of the motor to one side it would start, I thought something was jamming the squirrel cage fan. Turned out the end cap of the inducer fan's electric motor is held on with two screws and one of the screws was missing and inside the cap is a hollow where the roller bearing for that end of the motor shaft resides - with one screw missing the cap was cocked which made the bearing cocked which kept the shaft from turning. Putting in another screw so the cap was evenly tight solved it, motor and squirrel cage spun freely. Never did find the screw which must have been there recently. Ghosts. So the sequence was able to at least get to the inducer fan starting. I checked the pressure switch by blowing and sucking the tube to it and it clicked, volt ohm showed it was working. In the sequence I heard clicks from the gas valve so I guessed gas was going to the burners but the ignitor never glowed and volt ohm meter showed 110 volts going to it for about 10 seconds when the gas wasn't ignited it shut off. It knew it wasn't ignited because of the flame sensor told it there was no fire, I had removed and cleaned it so I thought it was working. I tried to light with a long tube nosed BBQ gas lighter and it lit. So I determined that after I got the inducer fan going the problem was the ignitor which never glowed red. New ignitor solved it, runs great. In summary as taught in this video you check the sequence and see where in the sequence there is a problem. Thank you.

You just save me a whole bunch of money. I had not thought of checking the vacuum line. When I checked it, water flowed out of it like a faucet. Having fixed that problem, she’s running good as gold again. Thank you very much.

I’ve got a predator new haven’t even opened. But I can make methane gas with food scraps and poop and use a 3 stage filter then you need a pump to put the methane into a tank so I need a conversion kit. I seen predator kits for $190 is there a cheaper way?

My S175 has same issue and says "InPut" on the hour meter. I replaced left and right power panels and can't find any bad wires

Oh excuse me I guess you showed the removal and re-establishing the new wires on the control board that looks a little tricky there I guess if you took your time and just took some pictures and try to replace them as you pull out the old ones with the new ones if you can you won't mess that up

I bought my first PDP which was the 2nd version, mounted a Holosun SCS on it (GREAT little optic) and it!s been running great for almost 2 years. A friend of mine was selling his PDP that I know for a fact he only put one box of 50 Blazer Brass through it. Dang thing is basically brand new! But it was a version 1. I just used the Walther factory plate RMR footprint plate he had with it. He never did install an optic. I just installed a Holosun 508t on it with the Walther plate and this last weekend took a high round count class (almost 1200 rounds for the weekend) and it’s holding zero with no movement or screw shearing. I think people were making up a problem that didn’t exist. But, time will tell. 1200 rounds with no problems makes me feel pretty confident in it though. But I gotta say, this plate looks like a pretty good idea for those that worry about it. Thanks to Walther’s KILLER slide serrations, it made this possible.

If you loosen the bottom or bed knife away from the reel, you can sharpen the front edge of that piece. The point where the grass is cut is right there and have a sharp, defined corner make the mower cut best.

Learn to clean the crystals off your def injector. The exhaust is not getting an even spay of def .

You can incorporate an electrical component into the design. Instead of having the motor running continuously, you could connect the negative or positive terminal to each target. When all the targets are knocked down, the motor can complete a rotation to lift all the targets back up. This way, the motor only activates when needed, resetting all targets at once.

That shit works for real, used it a lot.

Be careful handling the igniter. It's very fragile.

I don't have that problem but will keep this information in my gray matter in case the problem occurs. Mine is an 853 but I'm pretty sure it would be the same setup. Thanks for taking the time to educate me.
