Hello sir, I have a little qustion. Imagine I take a call, ask for details, and then cut the call without completing the conversation. Then a few other customers call the agent and book appointments. Then I call back a few minutes later and ask if they remember me and want to continue our conversation. If that happens, can the agent pick up the conversation I had earlier and continue the conversation from there? By the way this is a masterpiece .

Hi that is a very valid question! Conversation history is saved to the customer's unique row in the airtable database. Before the call is picked up, your server looks at the history for that caller (identifies them by phone number), and gives that to the agent. As long as each caller has a unique phone number (and it would of course be very strange if two people had the exact same phone number), each customer will build uo their owm history. So no worries about mixing up details! Thanks for the feedback! 🙌

Great question. Would love to be sponsored by make.com, but that's not currently the case. I find make.com the most beginner friendly platform, which makes it more attractive to my viewers. I have not taken on any sponsors thusfar. N8n is a great platform, but when things like cost and scalability become an issue, we tend to switch to supabase instead (going full code).

Thanks for watching! 🙌 Do you want to use KRISP for generating summaries of calls? If so you can make a workflow for that using the end-of-call-report server message. I always turn on smart endpointing, works great!

@@JesperRietbergen bro KRISP is for noise cancellation. you can have the user speak with crowd noise in background and AI will still be able to talk properly if you use KRISP, thats how good it is

Was not familiar with thay, thanks for pointing it out! I do know that vapi has a built-in noise cancellation feature, but not sure if this is utilizing the KRISP api in their orchestration model or wether it is something else.

Thank you for this tutorial! When I changed the field from a single-line text field to a single-select field, I ran into an issue with Airtable's 'Ended reason' field. The spaces in each choice were causing an error. After removing the spaces, everything worked perfectly. Your guide really helped me understand how to handle Airtable API integrations. Keep up the great work!

Been following this tutorial all day... setting up the automation as I go. Got to the Twilio node. Created a Twilio account that... within 30 minutes was suspended. No explanation as to why. Does anyone know of an alternative to Twilio?

For those that are following this and keep getting errors when you run the script: 1. Change your Table name from " Table 1" to Calls 2. Add a new field and name it Phone number and select the Phone number field type 3. No matter how much i tried i kept getting errors saying the Ended reason cant be found. So i deleted all rows mentioning Ended reason from the script and deleted the field called Ended reason. 4. Hit run and fingers cross :)

Connected this but having issues with the text. I am just getting the response "Accepted" when communicating with the AI agent via text. I am also not getting a very good discussion over the phone, perhaps something is wrong with the prompt or my Vapi connection. The opening voice is a different voice than the following talking agent which is strange. Let me know if you have any ideas as I tinker though this. Thanks for putting this video together!

Thanks for watching!! 💯 That's probably an issue with twilio. You will have to send an empty reply back to the twilio webhook in multiform format. That's because if you don't send a webhook respons to twilio, it will just give that 'accepted' which means the message was accepted bij your scenario webhook. Also the voice that you are hearing might be the "twilio voice". It's a strange thing because I have not heard of that happening before. Where vapi voices and Twilio voices mix in a single call.

It might be misreferenced. Perhaps you could try pasting the airtable script into ChatGPT. I noticed that this tens to help people solve that problem.

Exporting a airtable sheet is simple: Click Tab "Grid Views" → Click on the tiny down arrow → Export CSV :)
