Wow, I just slipped into another reality, where the B747 is substituted for the DC9.

20:14 Primary RADAR is definitely detecting altitude! The only thing it doesn’t know is WHO the aircraft is. A seasoned RADAR operator knows a Heavy from a Cessna or birds. Birds are not flying at 35,000 feet. Neither are smaller aircraft.

didn't this happen rather recently with malaysian airlines intentionally or negligently flying over dangerous airspace and got shot down?

The pilots have way to much power in the cockpit to kill people. There has to be some fail safes for pilots to not be able to do this

Yes, the flightplan in his simulator is enough proof, him passing his childhood island is extra, before he headed for the center of the Indian

To be honest, the fact that multiple authorities knew about the flight simulator route but didn't release it until way later adds to my suspicions that the plane didn't go south into the ocean. Call me crazy, but the plane hasn't even been found and the "airplane parts" that washed ashore that didn't have ID plates or any concrete connections to MH370 don't sway my opinion either (just the opposite). I think Jeff Wise has a point when he says the Inmarsat data was altered.

I remember flying into Honolulu a couple years ago, and we were basically flying in a straight line while bouncing, but the aircraft was pointed in a two o clock position. The pilot used the left set of wheels to spin the plane around on the runway. It was scary lol

With all the advances in camera technology, it seems almost criminal to not have cameras covering critical areas of commercial aircraft.

Why would fighter jets shoot down a passenger aircraft risking on board human lives, shouldn't they force the aircraft to land at a nearby airport.

It seems to me that, in order to become a commercial pilot, you must first have nerves of steel. The fact that the power supply for the in-flight entertainment system was known to overheat is just another tragic missed opportunity to prevent this catastrophe. RIP to all those who died in this disaster.

I'm glad that GPS makes this an impossible re-occurence, but still, something as basic as "We're flying North" and then just blindly setting a due west flight path seems absolutely inexcusable to me, there's just no justification or explanation for it, these people should not have been in charge of a cockpit, it's that simple. The reason we still have humans in there, is because we specificly do not want mindless drones piloting our aircrafts, we want someone who can question what they see when it doesn't make sense, instead of just blindly following it, at least those are my feelings on flying (same goes for driving and sailing really, I'll never trust an AI/Algorithm to transport me anywhere safely unless it is literally on rails as is with most modern metro systems)

I don't understand how Noone checked that or even just thought that the v values looked awfully different. Even with less experience they should have a feel for that from their simulator training for the type rating

Excellent video,,,,, very clearly explained & good visuals,,,,, I remember this accident ,,, very sad that so many lives were lost ,,, could easily have been avoided, if the pilots had taken more time to complete their pre flight checks.

Questions I have: Is it ever possible to get a text, call or email through while on a flight? If the co-pilot allegedly tried, therefore, did anyone else on that flight try to text, call or email? If the scenario presented in this video is correct, then passengers did have time and surely would have tried to contact loved ones, or authorities for help. Some people say that the simulation data on Captain Zaharie's home simulator was merely waypoints and not suspicious, can someone please explain what this means in language that non-aviation experts would understand. The simulator data showed a February date (21st or 22nd) was there anything significant happening on that date politically? There certainly was something significant happening on the 7th March 2014, politician Anwar Ibrahim (now Malaysian Prime Minister) was sentenced and convicted to prison. Captain Zahaire, a supporter and actual relative by marriage, flew the doomed flight that night (technically, 8th March as it was after midnight).
@ega9499
@ega9499 Күн бұрын
Captain Zaharie was not only a supporter of then opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim (now current Malaysian Prime Minister) but also related to him by marriage. However, back in 2014 Anwar was going through turbulent times, he had previously been imprisoned and was again facing another charge - this time sodomy. Anwar alleged this was a trumped up charge driven by his political enemies. Whatever the case, on 7th March 2014, Anwar was convicted of sodomy and sentenced to prison. That same night (technically the next day 8th March) his supporter Zaharie captained MH370...and the rest is history. Maybe Zaharie wasn't depressed, maybe it was a terrorist act. A terrorist act is a different mindset, however depraved we may think of such an act, they believe they are fighting for a just cause, they may even be jubilant believing they would get their 72 virgins in heaven. By the way I do not ascribe to any one theory, as I am not an expert on aviation, but for those who believe that Zaharie is to blame then I see terrorism as a possible reason. Certainly, if this was purposely done, whether it be by Zaharie or some others, then terrorism is a likely motive. But, yes, I see the flaw in this argument as well, because whoever committed this act went out of their way not to be detected, and, of course the plane has also never been found (well, parts of it only, and some people dispute that also) However, is it possible that whoever did this actually planned to carry out a hijack to another country, and that plan somehow went awry? Or, did they always plan it as a suicide mission and they assumed that eventually the plane would be found or it would be assumed to be terrorism anyway. Whatever the case it seems irrational that if it was suicide that someone would go to such extremes to cover their act, why not crash the plane straight away, why wait 8 hours and make all these complicated maneuvers? People mention the shame culture, but, it is a lot of work and in the end the effort involved in doing all these things made people suspect Zaharie anyway. The political connection and the flight simulation data could be suspicious or merely coincidental. In real life strange coincidences do happen. For instance, I was once driving in the city a long way from my home and parked behind a very expensive car. Because it was so fancy I took notice of it, something I wouldn't usually do. On returning to my car later, on a whim I decided not to go home but drive to another, unrelated part of the city. Imagine my surprise when that same fancy car drove past me! It made me wonder how many times these coincidences happen but I only noticed it that day because it was a unique car. Of course, enough coincidences put together become a compelling pattern of evidence. I also wonder if the trainee pilot was capable of all of this? Perhaps, he didn't have the expertise, but, on the other hand the 911 terrorists didn't have much flight experience either. I'm also aware of the fact that making such speculation must be upsetting for the their families, when unfortunately, we don't know for sure what happened.

Thanks for the in-depth research and analysis. Your theory seems very plausible, although I will say that I think you should have framed it more as a possibility than a factual retelling in the video. Yes, it is a scenario that is very plausible and seems to fit all the clues we have, but it still is only a theory. There's no solid proof of what happened within the plane. So I think it would be more professional to treat it as such and clearly state which parts are conjecture, and which parts are actual proven data (like the "handshakes"). But overall, great video, very interesting and well made!
