Obviously you had a bad one. I have experienced NONE of those issues. Second....anyone would be a complete fool to pay the full retail price when Samsung was offering outstanding trade in deals and other specials. I got mine for 500.00 after trade in and could not be happier with the device. The Pixel is complete garbage. It does NOT have Samsung's UI nor the features. And BTW...The Pixels is just as expensive. I think some you you guys just want to be on camera and get clicks. cause the bad stuff that you are saying is personal and picky.

This is a really helpful video 4 years later as I try to force myself to learn the sweet spots of this lens (while also relearning just like, the basics of photography in general). I know it's old and likely the creator edits differently now but I just wanted to give the feedback as a viewer that there's some kind of fade in on the narration audio that seems to reset every time there's a cut, at least in the direct address footage? And it's really distracting from the otherwise well presented information! Not sure if that's a default setting to avoid pops and clicks when cutting audio but yeah it would benefit from not that happening!

Used Lr app for a long time with my iPhone 12 - 10k photos. Moved to ProRaw and it sucks and overprocessed. It’s not a true RAW. Lr has a true one. Move to Pixel probably.

I'm super happy with Samyang 35 2.8, but 45 1.8 has disappointed me very much. The build quality, the rattling hood when attached (there was some play), the AF accuracy has been hit-and-miss in darker conditions even compared to Sony FE 50 1.8 (V3 firmware, on A7 III)... FWIW the Samyang has on the last firmware too, possibly also manufactured 2024. Also, the bokeh from Samyang is pretty bad, and due to field curvature it's ugliest at the sides of the picture... but I often shoot people, so maybe that's not a concern for someone shooting landscape or street. However, here in Europe, for a little over 300 EUR, it doesn't stand a chance against Sony 50 that costs around 200 EUR - at least if you don't shoot video and don't need quiet AF, and maybe if you're using 24mp body (I can't comment on how the 50 is sharp on 40+ mp... but on 24mp the sharpness at medium distances in the middle half of the image is great even at f/1.8, and bokeh is buttery smooth). After a week I returned the Samyang...

My old Samsung S20 FE takes a lot better pictures than S23 Ultra in terms of HDR. S23U fails to retain the highlights! It's unpredictable!!!!

Main issue after lot of updates is samsung post processing had become nasty...reddish tone in portraits and 200 MP also gives over saturated photo...this is bad frol samsung

Been after one of these for a while, found a used mint version, over the moon with it. Contemplated the 2.8, just didn't want to lug almost a kilo of glass around, this f4 version is brilliant. Being light, it stays in the bag and is used more than I ever imagined, love it.

Agreed on the outer screen! I loved it. Was so much easier to use one-handed while walking my dog. You definitely get used to it. I returned mine, too. It's just too expensive as nice and premium as it is. I just don't need all the features. Samsung is generous with trade-in deals, which helps.

Thanks, dude. Trying to transition from conventional SLR to Phone for 95% of my needs (backpack/outdoor). Just purchased S23 (for size) from S9. Believe it or not the S9 prompted this move. Not that they matter but here are my thoughts. The best camera for the shot, is the one you have with you. In reality I never used all that crap on my "nice" cameras anyway. With the exception of some freaky nuisances the quality is on point. Finally, just the sheer flexibility, ease of use and convenience make the switch a "no-brainer" for me. Thanks for the instruction. 👴 It's worth mentioning that I don't have the Ultra and the S23 doesn't have all the features you mentioned.

Great work! Most informative and very helpful. One small question: at 18:21 you're having trouble reducing color noise in a P8P RAW file, using manual Luminance and Color sliders. Have you tried using Lightroom's Denoise AI? I am not at all sure if this would make a big difference, but I have found the new Lightroom Denoise AI quite effective in reducing color noise in my high-ISO Canon files.

BTW, just a minor thing about your presentation, but I am baffled by your frequent pronunciation of the word "the" with a long "E", like "thee". Unless the word is followed by a word that begins with a vowel sound, or in rare cases, when great emphasis is wanted on the word "the", it should not be pronounced like "thee". It sounds sort of silly, and once I noticed it I couldn't help but be sort of irritated every time you did it. :)

In flex modeSamsung has the software upper edge because you can hold it at 90 degrees and move the viewfinder on the lower half, it's the best way to shoot landscape with a foldable. Too bad Samsungs cameras on the fold are utter ASS

Couple months update here, but unfortunately I have all of the same issues you do with your fold 6. Google maps acting wierd, power button very loose, and phone not opening flat all the way.

The best Z Fold 6 is a heavily discounted Z Fold 5. Aside from the squared off screens and slightly more efficient SOC, there's effectively no difference thats reason to not just get (or stay with) a Fold 5. Fold 5 was a notable upgrade over the 4 so I wouldn't suggest going that far back.
