Well, good points. But you're assuming that the system, in this case the body and brain, is working properly. Why do you think most people have skyhigh serotonin, acting like mindless numbed down zombies, even if they are not a "winning lobsters"?
@Strongfit2 сағат бұрын
Sky high serotonin does not make a person a zombie, it makes them highly aggressive. My point is this has nothing to do with serotonin. I do not assume the system is working properly on the contrary, i am making the argument that this is a system problem, not a serotonin one. We are confusing correlation (in the best case scenario) and causation

I miss the 1 hour and 45 min podcasts, the tangents always had some golden nuggets. I was wondering, you talked In the end about q-1 and boredom and the arch it sits on. Is there anyway you could do a podcast on burnout ? Is it a thing? Or is it just freeze mode? Is there a difference? Is there a difference between mental and physical burnout as well? Love the content as always !

Interesting addition to the box. From the perspective of functional integration, coach J, at what point do we risk dissecting movement too much for training, when we are actually better off doing Movnat/Ido Portal/Rafe Kelley stuff? In other words, movement in nature is so complex, what is the constraint that prevents us from adding “too many” parts to the Box?

your wife looks very lean, has she been cutting?
@StrongfitАй бұрын
She cut only 2kgs for the competition, but she does look leaner right now even after going back up. It's water weight it seems, I think she got tired during the prep (too tired anyway) and held water. Something to look at for the next one

Looking forward to the seminars! Very cool with the timing, as I recently identified within my own resilience journey, how much comfort I’ve adopted, and how much risk I have removed. I'm confused, there's barely any upper back work. I thought the general guideline is two pull days for one push. What is the thinking here?
@StrongfitАй бұрын
Strongman training is sooooo much upperback work. Just Overhead Yoke Carry and Farmers Carry will target the area plenty, Sandbag Front Squats also, Monster Dumbbell, etc... the list goes on and on
@josephthurgood4571Ай бұрын
@@StrongfitYeah but that's still not a full pull day. Sounds like this system will not have much pull strength training besides rope pulls and the main compound exercises that also hit back. you're not worried about developing too much pressing relative to pulling strength?
@StrongfitАй бұрын
@@josephthurgood4571 pull days are used to develop back and upper back strength, so Strongman days are pull days in that sense. You are too stuck on words, focus on the meaning instead

Where is the best place to make sure I see the system when it comes out?
@HaydenGladstonePT2 ай бұрын
I love the exploration of the topics. Most fitness chat is overly mundane. Can you go too much toward the want with strength? Is this the idea of, 'the poison is in the dose'? Strength (intensity) does lend itself much better toward the objective and the need. Bodybuilding/isolation work is extremely comparative and therefore driven by the mind. There is no measurement without the other. I think this serves some well, and many not. Particularly so with the current zeitgeist of the West. Could you expand on your notion of 'full socialization'? Is that being completely driven by the want? The comparator?
