This is a movie about a fictional story, the pyramids and other monuments were made by egyptians not slaves. Hebrews were not slaves in egypt.

I first watched this movie a couple years back, and I was just sobbing like a baby at the end. It literally ruined my whole day haha. So tragic, but I'm so glad I watched it.

When you realize that Sinbad loved Marina so much, he couldn't bear to see her with another man, and he respected Proteus so much as his friend that he couldn't get in the way of their relationship. He chose Proteus's happiness over his own just as he did once again at the end of the movie. And Proteus chose Marina's happiness over his own. Damn... it's a self-sacrifice bargaining sale

I didn’t cry the first time I watched it either! Then I showed the movie to a few friends cause I thought they should enjoy it too; they didn’t either. I watched it alone one day and cried so much more than ever. It was ugly.

The subplot involving Mary (Kirsten Dunst) and Howard (Tom Wilkinson) was much sadder in the script. Originally, the reason she ended up getting her memory wiped is because their affair went on long enough that she got pregnant, but he had her get an abortion. She was so distraught and depressed afterwards that that is why she gets her memory wiped.

The thing with the "do not address me so informal, madam" scene is that the audience is MEANT to be disappointed in Henry. He's been learning a lot from Danielle, and growing as a character, but he's not done growing yet. When he is put to the test, he fails, because he hasn't fully embraced what he has learned from Danielle yet. That failure becomes part of his character development however, and pushes him further along his character arc. Yeah, it's a hard scene to sit through, but I think it elevates the ending when Henry truly learns and accepts how little rank matters.

really nice job catching how his memory of her isn't really her, just what his imagination creates her to be. that is not an accident by kaufman. he literally tells the viewer that early in the movie. as the memories get older, nearer the beginning of their first relationship, joel's perception would be different since memories fade over time. i think this why clementine is more of what he pictured her to be in his fantasies compared to the beginning of the film. the poem Eloisa to Abelard, where the movie title comes from, is really the core of the entire story. the poem's message of whether it is better to be blissfully unware compared to the highs and lows of what life really brings you is at the center here. i think this movie hits with a lot of people because it makes its characters relatable to what most people go through and of course the emotions that go along with it. there's so much more in this film as kaufman screenplays are very dense and well thought out. good combination between him and the director. if you want to see one of his films unchained then Synecdoche, New York would be the one i would recommend. great channel, thank you for watching.

13:44 When I was eight, I borrowed this movie from the library and really liked it. My little brother watched it with me and then would quote, "Chumsy? I'M chumsy?" Only I knew that he was quoting "Clumsy? I'M clumsy?" from "Barbie in the Nutcracker." But because I own "Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses" and I've watched it way more than "Barbie in the Nutcracker," my mom had it ingrained in her mind that the "Clumsy? I'M clumsy?" quote was from "12 Dancing Princesses" (cause that's the Barbie ballet movie she had watched the most). So she was surprised a few years ago when I watched this movie with her and learned that the "I'M clumsy?" quote was from this movie.

Kristen’s character and the doctor have a deleted scene on the dvd. She goes to get her tape and they let us listen to it. She got pregnant and had an abortion and she couldn’t deal with the pain of losing him and the child and asked to have her mind erased so she could get past it all

What I’m confused about is how was the prank even played if the VKs couldn’t open the magic book to begin with because they were evil, not only that but they could’ve used that as a plot twist and say that Cinderella was forced to do the prank? And Bridget’s beef with Cinderella make way more sense that way

This movie represents snow days and building up excitement for Christmas in my childhood! It’s my favorite Barbie movie to this day, if only because Barbie and her love interest go on an adventure together and build each other up before falling in love. And the Nutcracker? *swoons*!

Personally, it feels like Sinbad gained some maturity traveling with Marina, but I don’t think he went back solely because of her. At the end of the day, he’s not gonna let his old-time best buddy die. it would be kind of depressing if he only made that decision based on his romantic feelings for a woman.

I got this movie from my gramma when it JUST came out when I was around 13ish. I binged watched it almost 24/7 for several days cause I loved the story, the characters(mostly the Nutcracker and Mouse King), and the music was always the best. I also would say that I had a crush on the Nutcracker, not his human form. It’s like Beast(Adam) from Beauty and the Beast, he’s human and should look cute, but his beast form was more hotter than his human form. Still one of my favorite Barbie movies of all time. It’s also fun years later watching it and see how cool the graphics were back then, but so BAD nowadays.
