One thing I liked specifically about season 3 of the scream show, was that when the killers were revealed we got flashbacks to them revealing themselves after each kill it was so good

Robbie would have been the better ghostface. He was reciting everything all the time it was right in front of our faces and he was reciting the entire massacre in and out of ghostface costume. But Charlie’s was more of a subversion of expectations but had great kills. Roman regardless of being the sole ghostface got help from Angelina (not saying Angelina is a ghostface but she definitely helped)

From my understanding, Scream was a response to horror movies and trends that came before. I know they’ve taken on a life of their own, but wouldn’t it be interesting for a Scream 7 to incorporate some of the Jordan Peele, toy/doll/robot, social media, and other modern horror trends and mash them with the Scream tropes? If Sc7eam is going to be a Sidney focused story, I hope the writers don't forget she's going to be armed, which could offer some different situations than anything we've seen to this point. If she's imparting knowledge to a new, younger group, I'd assume she'll arm them somehow. To be clear, they don't have to be armed with guns.

I don't know why the only word being used is assimilated, you could also be infected before total assimilation occurred per Blair. I think Norris was probably the shadow on the wall but gets only infected as evidenced by when his body version of The Thing jumps out of him when hit by the jumper cables I don't know how a new version of Norris would be sitting inside waiting for a situation to break out of his body if needed if he was already fully assimilated. I think that shows The Thing in him was not fully formed yet. He was infected and close to being assimilated but in a slower takeover process. I think Palmer was probably the first fully assimilated human probably in the same fashion as Bennings with a quick takeover by the dog prior to it getting torched.

Actually, you make a solid point about Sam and Ricchie giving the police statement thing, about how if they plan to frame Sam, that statement would have them looking for a second killer. And after you talked about how they killed Wes, and that got me thinking "Wouldn't it have made more sense for them to leave Wes alive, so they can frame HIM as the second killer?" They could have made up some bullshit explanation about how his feelings for Tara were never reciprocated, so he decided to move on to her sister Sam, and with Sam being the sole person they're trying to frame, they could have framed this as another reference to the first film, saying Wes went after Tara in the beginning the same way Stu wanted revenge for Casey, and that event was part of Sam's plan to give her a reason to go back to Woodsboro. And they very well could frame Wes, being the son of the Sheriff, she would never believe he would do that, and even if she did, they kill her anyway. Which is another thing they could say Wes did to throw the police off of his trail, and because no one was around Judy when Ghostface called her and threatened Wes, it could have been framed as though Judy and Wes were the only ones at their house. Leaving Wes alive to frame him as Sam's accomplice, probably would have solved the problem they made for themselves!

I think Stu did everything from the stabbing of Billy to his reveal he's literally sweating as he's been attacking and running left right and center. Also if Roman can teleport into a closet in 6 seconds from being outside Stu being able to kill Steve without being seen in only 5 seconds and having all his guts out and stuff proves his Travel Speed is easily way more than the average human and he definitely killed Tatum as Billy's evidence was recently debunked and Stu got new evidence for himself

Mindy is more than great

It's by far the most solid slasher franchise in film history and I find it impossible to rank the films... with one proviso: Scream (1996) is the clearly the winner in literally every single one of these categories. I say this as a giallo obsessive - the first film has that suspense/mystery magic which I crave like the first time I watched certain Argento or Martino gialli and was blown away by them. Scream 2 is second-best, I'd say, but honestly the ending doesn't work like a great giallo at all - the first time I saw it, in fact, the ending just felt like a huge meh (Mickey had made no impression on me during that first watch and Nancy had barely been in the film) - rewatching Scream 2 is where the pleasure lies, putting the pieces together, and I'd say to some extent this applies to parts 3-6 as well, all of which I do enjoy greatly. However, Part 1 stands up from start to finish as a brilliant giallo-style mystery. Accept no substitutes.
