Another great video Paul and well done. I've watched so many of your SWCP videos and have enjoyed them often with my Mum and we both love Cornwall. All the best crossing the finish line (which you may have done by now). I'm sure that will be an emotion moment for you to finish the 630 miles. And then on to your next challenge. We've just purchased some coffee for you and hope you enjoy it.

Tough day but a beautiful one even in the terrible weather. I hope you will reveal in the next one what a beautiful night's sleep you had. That diversion at Houn's Tout/Chapman's Pool is a real kick in the guts at the end of a long struggle - I wonder whether that will become the official route now.

Yes it was a hard day, but looking back on it now it is a great memory. All worked out well overnight and I will explain all in the next video. The diversion at Houns Tout is actually a nice easy walk. I know it adds mileage but it provides a good chance to visit the pub for food/drink.

You did well to avoid the fossil forest 😅Sue and I walked down and back up without seeing anything resembling a tree. Halfway back up is an information point that said the trees had been removed during the Victorian era

Another great one Paul. 2 days to go? It's a fantastic walk, I did with a friend who wanted to join me for a day but had never done any walking. All those ups n downs in that lovely view you mentioned going in to Durdle Door nearly killed them. First and last time for them I think. £51 is just too much. I don't usually wild camp but I don't think I could bring myself to pay that.

That is exactly right Torunn, as with much of the coast, it is constantly being eroded and there is lots of evidence of that along this final stretch to South Haven Point.

Great to see Portland again Paul, we walked this section back in March 2018 (the year it snowed right down to the coast in Dorset). Thankfully the snow had disappeared when we arrived. We were thrilled to see dolphins way out to sea - following a fishing boat at Portland Bill. Quite a sight. Thanks for another great video, pleased that you’ve hit over 1,000 subscribers…. 👍 Something we are slowly, slowly heading towards. 😊
@pilgrimpaul7798Ай бұрын
Snow on the coast is an unusual sight. Not sure I’d fancy walking some of the cliff sections with snow underfoot! I am always hopefuls of seeing a dolphin, but with only 3 days walking remaining it is looking less likely now.

At the time of writing, Paul you've got one more stint to complete the path, but so far this video is my favourite, Of the 2600 views its currently got, I've probably accounted for 10% of them as I've watched it so many times. The scenery and the music you've added to the video is top notch. The video featuring Blackchurch Rock (oh another North coast video!) comes a close second. I know the views give an indication, but it'd be interesting to know what your subscribers favourites were when you've finished it. Perhaps a poll could be setup if that'd work?
@pilgrimpaul7798Ай бұрын
Yes that’s one of my favourites too. Actually most of my most memorable sections are on the north coast. Thanks for boosting the views, the more views my videos get, the more KZbin promotes them to other people.

Wouldnt of been so heavy but i had my floatation suit with me as it was still bitterly cold at night and for safty, + food and drink for 30 odd hours ontop of all the fishing gear and bait etc. Whole of plymouth and surounding areas fishings gone down hill over the last 10-15 years .
