Richard. I'm sorry for being so picky but you say you're a watchmaker. However, I've never seen any of these video's where there's any watchmaking being done. You should class yourself as a watch restorer, cleaner or repairer. Sorry.

great video, 😉looks like you lost all the numbers on the bottom chronograph dial perhaps it's the way the light was hitting the dial. 😱 also, i kept hearing a loud ticking noise like a really loud clock or a super loud quartz watch in the background, perhaps it's just me. 🙄the kind of ticking that an old world 💣would make.🤭😂

I came from the classic car world before entering watchmaking so maybe I approach things a bit differently but for rusty movements like this, after I remove the calendar disk I'd soak the entire movement in evaporust 24-48 hours before even attempting disassembly. It is not acidic like vinegar and will not harm the rhodium plating, which gives the best possible chance of disassembly without broken screws or other parts. I wish I could convey this to all professional watchmakers.

Hi, this is one excellent video on g10. A question: I have one G10 with an acrylic crystal (CWC), is it possible to replace it with a sapphire one? If so, can you please show how, or just point me where to get sapphire crystal which would fit, it would make one already excellent watch a true masterpiece. Thanks.

Good video, I love Horology! But what caught my ear was I served on the same operations as you, Granby with 7 Bde and Grapple 3. Maybe we met, I like to think so! Keep up the good work whatever!

Hi Richard, I've recently inherited my Father's Logine watch and can't find the exact model online. It was his everyday watch so somehow we never talked about it, only his other 2 Omega watches. But I chose the Longines one which looks like the one in yiur video with a separate second hand (sundial?) Any info gratefully received 👍

Thanks for the video, but I really can't believe that you didn't have the patience needed to release that rusted screw the second time. Penetrating oil soak, and a soldering iron would have given you what you wanted.

Why would you wear a watch like this on a work site, more money then sense that’s for sure
@trevorhare939320 күн бұрын
Well now, on the strength of this review alone, i have just ordered one from Casio UK. They offered a 10 percent discount voucher. (I’d rather get one direct from the company than via an amazon or ebay 3rd party trader.) i realised that everything i have in the house - with a clock - is a computer or iPhone or iPad. There is a clock on the gas cooker but it’s cumbersome to drag it around when the internet is down or the phone needs charging or there’s a power cut. I can’t see any reason to spend more. (Not until I win a Euromillions jackpot anyway!)

I’m just curious if there is a watch repair that has ever really challenged you, seems this one was a little too easy for you. One thing that always amazes me is despite how difficult it is working on a watch, the videography of the repair is exceptional. Really feels like I’m there with you looking over you shoulder.
