Nice restoration, Sir! I inherited a 1964 Omega Speedmaster Professional from my late father and my restoration went as far as toothpaste to polish out old scratches on the plexiglass, but since stopped as I learned there is an Omega logo in the centre of the plexiglass and I am afraid of polishing it away. So all I did to my Omega is make a new calfskin leather NATO strap.

@@richardperrettwatchmaker Thank you so much, Richard. Many people are asking me if my Omega has the 321 movement (I do have the tools to open and check), but I will not as I know gasket will break and I might encourage an old enemy to mechanicals.. dust! 🙈

So pleased you picked up on the subtleties here. 'Missing you savagely" is a top expression. I used to use it when returning to highly fortified locations in my former life. I would clamber from my land rover and say to the soldier in the Sanger behind the machine gun "Guardsman Spencer! Have you missed me savagely?!". It always made the boys smile. Use it with confidence! Richard
