I’m fascinated by this and I had a question but I didn’t want to come out wrong. How long does it take to finish one of these boats? I don’t believe their owner would ever see it complete they’re so massive.
@SailingLearningByDoing7 күн бұрын
@@josephwinkler4863 thanks for watching. If the wood supply is constant then they finish these in 3-6 months. That’s floating with basic hardware. Full interior fitout get done after and in a different location.

Very cool I’ve been a builder for 36 years and I was just curious but that’s a whole lot of boat and that’s not a bad timeframe so probably a year start to finish I guess! Anyway, thank you for sharing. I enjoy watching.

Yes the water was mesmerizing, sometimes its the simplest things that tell us the most. Such a contrast in this episodes' anchorages and sightseeing. I remember handling mercury in science classes at school, wasnt a big deal until the 70s. I wonder if theres an improved low tech process the miners could use (eg borax smelting).

wonderful video and educational ad well. So Eli is starting to get up, crawl exciting, but I think maybe a little more stressful on you both Marie and Vern. Have you ever thought about child safety netting around the boat? Yes the Gold mining is going on all over Indonesia and mercury is used like they have no worries. I think maybe a lack of education in this area is present. You ending of this video with the Cranes absolutely beautiful. Catch you next video cheers
