I used to see this at Chuck E. Cheese arcades. Sadly the guns on Galloping Ghost's cabinet were poorly-calibrated so I couldn't really play it.

When you encounter the enemies with shields, you can shoot their leg when they are far from you, and you can shoot their bodies when they wave swords at you.

I have played this game at Chuck E. Cheese in LA when I was seven. But I cannot pass through the 1st stage because the speed of enemy is too fast.

Just out of curiosity but have you ever thought of beating Deadstorm Pirates or more specifically the Special Edition of it with no continues?

Thanks for watching. I have the original Deadstorm Pirates on PlayStation 3 and have 1CCed it, just need to get a capture card setup to record a playthrough. As for Special Edition, I know where to find two cabinets locally and am aware there's a method out there to play it unofficially on PC, but I haven't have time lately to learn it.

The plot of this game didn't aged well. Not only the very girl they're trying to save was killed in future installments, but its also caused by one of the playable characters here... 😢

I think this one was composed by Ichihashi. The trumpet sample at 0:23 was used in Winning Spike, which I believe was his first game at Konami.

Excellent playthrough!!! I enjoyed every minute of this, it was a pleasure to watch; you have MAD skills!! You took my favourite route through the first level, it's worth taking the hit to get knocked down to the sewers to rack up those extra points!!!

Awesome memory. Yeah, this was a classic for sure. Always liked watching others play it, and a bit of a shame I don't find the game that much at local arcades anymore.

Yeah. The game originally had rear-projection monitors but those probably failed. Since the game just uses a bunch of IR sensors around the screen to work with the gun, though, you can replace the old monitors with LCDs.
