Both Ram and McGregor were top notched clubs which were carried on the shoulders of Tom Watson for Ram and Jack Nicklaus for McGregor as well as other pga golfers. Its nice to see a comeback of some old memories in the modern club era.

Gabe, as always, I love the variety of club manufacturers you review. From the least expensive ones to the most crazy, boutique expensive ones. It give us a chance to see how they do out there.

Awesome video as usual. I have been watching for about a year now. Love your videos. I bought the callaway edge set earlier this past spring after your reviews and some of my own research. I hadn't golfed consistently in about 10 years, and the set did its job. I am back to loving golf and have been going at least once a week. Its great having a hobby I really enjoy again!! It is now time for me to upgrade, though. I got fitted and need a bit more length on my shafts. I am thinking about getting the maltby ts3 irons based on your reviews and the option to add custom lengths. I am a 12 - 15 depending on my putting 😉 maybe some day I'll be a scratch golfer. I prefer forgiving and straight shooting clubs. I am not quite there yet on workability, but keeping up the practice to get there. There are so many options I can go with, but I feel like the Maltby clubs will be a good choice from what I've seen.

i have these clubs in the bag. they are working great. i would agree with everything that Gabe says in this review. i am returning to golf and bought these irons and had enough money left for a lesson. (trying to play better than my 12 year old son ..... he is coming for me)

$281 bought me a stunning set of black irons from Temu, the forged, P790’s, 4-PW. See AskGolfNut review. They are everything he says. I shot a 76 the first time I used them. I am 71, mid handicap GHIN 15. This is a good buy too. Thanks for this review Gabe!

Great video and review. Ram made exceptional equipment back in the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s, then in the late 90’s their designs the wheels fell off the bus as did with Wilson and McGregor. Glad to see them making a comeback in today’s market.

Back in the 90s bought a set of Ram nickel FX irons. I remember they were solid but nothing really special. They were cheap because they were being discontinued. I did demo their forged irons once and liked them very much but I wasn't nearly good enough to put them in my bag back then.

@@LetsPlayThru I’m afraid not. I’m not sure what I did with them. I Remember the face of the clubs had an engraved circle on the sweet spot which made it easy to hit. Been through a half dozen different sets since then.

I bought a set of these 2 months ago. Opened the box and evey single iron was banged up on the toe, dings all over and one had an unglued loose ferrel. I sent them back without even hitting them. Very disappointed. Instead bought a split set of sub70 cb/mbs and they came with foam dividers in perfect condition for $100 less. Not worth the risk of damage if you ask me.

Is it just me or are these DTCs using the same grips and shafts due to cutting deals with some chinese clones of the components? Cause it seems like they are.
@AZstu3242 ай бұрын
These shafts aren't that expensive and definitely not going to be clones. Now Ram likely did cut a bulk deal with KBS which is pretty standard. When they're ordering by the 1000's, they'll probably get them at $8/shaft.
