I don't care for Glocks.... but gen. 3 / 19 and AR 6mm ARC. (soon to be dressed in tiger-stripe) works for me

@@noretreat151 Sounds good. I’m looking in the lines of Springfield XD 9 since that is what I’ve been most accurate with.

Don't care for Springfield XDs either, how did it go?

@@3KindsOfGuns The XD9 Service Model is very accurate, comfortable, and soft shooting. However, the trigger is not my favorite. It’s that one gun that will be my first handgun IF I don’t find anything else better (I find that out by renting guns in the range). The stock Glocks here in CA are a no go for me so if I’ll get a Glock, frame works would be needed for sure and I can expect to pay about or over $1000 (which I’m trying to avoid for a first gun) especially because I have BIG hands and I get that Glock knuckle feeling (thanks to the finger grooves and trigger guard).

SHTF my 2 guns are both going to be Rifles no need for a handgun . That being said definitely will have my Benelli M4LE and my AR

Interesting, I'm not going to disagree with you, but carrying ammo sucks.

Very respectable choices. I personally am an AK / Glock guy. Im in the mindset that id rather have multiple of the exact same rifle and multiple of the exact same handgun instead of a huge collection of all the "cool" guns. Having 2 AK's and 2 Glocks, would be ideal. I dont like the idea of having soo many different types of mags in your safe that you could potentially grab the wrong mag for the wrong gun in a pickle. I say keep it simple, and pick one rifle, and one handgun, then have multiple of the same gun.

Why AK over AR?

I used to believe the AK superiority myth as well. Plenty of people have proven that to not be true.

I just shot 4 guns today. (1/4/2023) I rented 2 guns. The Springfield XD9 in 9mm and the Sig Sauer P238. I also shot my brother’s Glock 19 and 26. Sig Sauer P238: This gun was only available in flush magazine. The trigger pull was annoyingly long that I felt I have to squeeze so hard, my gun would move away from the target. I also couldn’t center the trigger on the top of my index finger correctly since the gun is so thin and small. I think it had to do with me unable to move my index finger a little more outwards since my finger was long or I haven’t learned how to correctly do it yet. I have scattered shots all over to the left (up and down) but none on the bullseye. I want to practice with this one again since I can see this as an ideal pocket gun. Also, the safety of this gun is annoyingly STIFF. It is a rental gun after all. But hopefully in the future, I can do better with it. Glock 19: I only shot 5 times before it jammed and my brother took over (since it’s his gun). I didn’t get the bullseye but it was a fairly smooth shooter. Grouping was fairly close to the bullseye but on the left though. Glock 26: My second favorite of today’s range day. It’s so snappy but I shot a bullseye and the grouping was small nearby the bullseye. I only shot 10 rounds to it. If I shot more rounds with this, I was wondering how I’d do and if my hand would fatigue. This is my brother’s G26 so he was using the extended mags. He offered flush mags as well but I didn’t feel comfortable using them yet after seeing what happened to the Sig Sauer P238. Springfield XD 9mm in a 4 inch barrel.: My most favorite gun for tonight. I got a large group towards the left but I at least shot the bullseye twice. I see this as my first gun but I need to practice more. 😁 I was hoping for a subcompact XD9 for rent but it wasn’t available so I can’t wait to shoot the one on the future. 😉 So that 9mm for me is most likely the XD. 😁

If there is any point that I can ever get through in any of my videos, it should be, DO NOT BUY AN XD. I understand that you have limited experience, but please listen to me that has a little bit more. The fact that a lot of your shot groups were to the left is not surprising as you are a new shooter, this gets better with time and practice. I am surprised that the G19 jammed on you, while I personally don't like Glocks, they normally go bang. What type of pistol are you looking for? Are you looking for a very small one, or something bigger?
@nastymkfan Жыл бұрын
@@3KindsOfGuns Small 9mm as much as possible. A Sub-compact or micro 9mm. CA compliant unfortunately. But if I can't handle the small 9s, I'd go with a full size or something that's the size of a Glock 19. Regarding the Glocks, I think I'll have more time to practice with those (especially the G19 and G26) since my brother owns them. Please feel free for more suggestions.

@@3KindsOfGuns Also, what's wrong with the XD?
@nastymkfan Жыл бұрын
@@3KindsOfGuns Also, I plan to rent a CZ 75 P-01 or Compact and either a Beretta M9/92FS or any of the Sig Sauer 9mm pistols is I'm able to rent again. At least by next month if my brother and I are unable to go the range that has rentals, I'll ask if I can go with him to the one he usually goes to that has no rentals. At least I'll be able to practice with his Glock 19, 26, and 17. Maybe even his 19x though I'm not allowed to have that one as a CA civilian. My brother is allowed because he's a cop.

Glocks are solid pistols, I don't like them, but they are good pistols. For SHTF, I would worry about running 6mm ARC, which is a phenomenal cartridge, but how are you getting more ammo?
