This Thomas is pretty cool. I agree the face is great! I like how the truck wobbles because it reminds me of how reel trucks wobble a bit when they go down the tracks. Also he's got no dome! Your finding stuff I can't find, well done. It's a 'future Thomas' only 4 wheels. The bits on the rolling stock look 'Lego Duplo' style. Push Along 'metal engine' range is a complete joke, never seen it so bad.

They should of stuck with the original wooden railway Gordon length for the new one including Henry, Hiro, and Rebecca. Edward, Emily and James pass

Yeah I'm really not a fan of these models, but I'm not a fan of most the AEG variants. I'm surprised they didnt advertise The Mystery of Lookout Mountain here since thats where theyre from

These are based on their second feature-length special, except they added three seperated from the multi pack with the other characters and Darcy, minus Bruno.

Options in Australia has been non existent, during 2024 we have hit a now low. From what I've seen on the metal engine variations once they are themed they are nowhere as popular as a 'plain' character. That variation of Sandy is a absolute peg sitter. Even at heavily discounted clearance prices these themed toys just peg sit.

You missed the fact the Diesel in this set actually has painted buffers. The normal one doesn't.

One thing I saw is that the Thomas and Percy in the set reuse the faces of their Birthday/Celebration versions of themselves. Also, the plain wheels they gave them look kinda better. I always wanted to see AEG Thomas with plain wheels. (I should say that I did swap my Thomas' wheels for Gordon's to see how he'll look like)

You said it best these are terrible terrible terrible. It's not good that the chrarictors pictured of the on the back of the book are more detaled then the toys themselves. The faces are very weird and in some cases terifiing. I think Bruno looks the best. Anyways great job on this review. Hope you have a great day!

I've looked at that pack when it was in store a long time ago and I never noticed the lack of wheel details and never knew the faces are far more epic. I wonder if they are coming out of a different factory.

You always get a feeling whoever green lights changes on the toys has no idea what's currently being seen from the franchise. Not sure if you have seen the really weird Diesel 10 as a Sub Sandwich. It honestly makes zero sense.

On difficulty to find I only found one other, but then again that one more than absolutely no Thomas stuff at the shops now. I have a big heart for My Busy Books but the AEG Thomas MBB is possibly the lowest of the lows. I'm sure some of the faces on your set are more finished Vs the one I looked at. And it's difficult to understand how this was allowed to go to market. Honestly just more indication the end is very near now.

Unfortunately, the 'mystery' cargo is the same in every set as I've seen from multiple buyers' pictures. It would've been cool if they just mixed the bags for the two in this series between which packs they go in. Also, on the little instruction images they show what design you will get so if you buy two of the same packs you will get the same Thomas twice!

The Minis and 2022 Wooden Railway always stay as normal Thomas. Ive only been getting the advent calanders these past couple of years and I have been on the hunt for completing 2021 wave 2 since I only got 5 from that wave for Christmas. Henry got rivits to? Does that mean Edward and Toby will get them to? Only half of the Steam Team engines have gotten rivits and extra handrails when S23 came out.

I use to swap the faces from new releases and put them onto older/ regular models, a simple hack but made big differences

I do agree with that you could have done with model or cgi styles which sorta overlap compared to AEG it allows more design face changes . Sandy has the translucent thing that is missing with the main Toy but but strange that that they show the bucket on the box yet don't include it .

The art is cool with someone was pulling Bruno maybe Gordon could have .
