This is not really effective. U can use the diamond and parrarel system. Easier to do and more accurate.

I've been using the sniper tip now for around a year. It's definitely like a fine wine. Gets better with age. I bought a Whyte carbon shaft. Compared to my cuetec it doesn't feel like it transfers as much energy. Sounds like it also. This onyx tip might be a good match for this Whyte carbon shaft. To be honest I'm a little disappointed in it. Thanks for your excellent videos and advice

Jokes aside, Really nice video. It is so simple and yep, I am just lazy and I know it.. but STILL just get down and play shots and look all confused when I miss easy balls. Time to finally get a bloody pre-shot routine! Thanks Darren

Great video, just recently watched a video with Johnny Archer and SVB...at one moment somebody asked mr. Archer about this.... he said something brilliant... once my aim is set all i have to do is kick the cue ball with my. cue... so the cue ball is the last thing i look at. It made a lot of sense to me, especialy on the long shots what mr. Aplleton says here. On a long shot if you hit a cue ball even a little off, your probably gonna miss....

Hey Darren, I'm looking into getting pool glasses. Can you share details on the ones you are using and if other pro players are using any other ones? I'll be needing to get a parallax confergence problem corrected via prism lenses but any info you can share would be great. Thanks for the video.

Nice video! Quick question. What happens if the cueball is further away from rail?

Pivot system is just terrible as you say Darren. Most players swoop on delivery as their lizard brain is scared to address extreme side. This is because they have never explored the miscue limit so overcompensate avoiding any possibility of a miscue. 100% agree that a straight delivery is the QUICKEST way possible to learning aiming with side - and learners just need to summon the courage to commit to live or die by the sword of their aiming guesswork of distance / side / speed for the given shot. Most players can't follow this trial and error path, though, as they are constantly searching for the non existent 'side spin aiming secret'

Hello Darren, many thanks for this tutorial! Could you please explain how to measure the distances between the cueball and the objectball when you don’t always place the cueball directly in line, as you did? For example, if the cueball is somewhere in the middle of the table, do you then measure the distance between the cueball and the objectball using the diamonds along the side, or by aiming at the target points marked from the long rail to the short rail? Could you elaborate on this a bit more?

On the short rail u mention half diamonds v long rail yet when u show the ball on the opposite short rail u use full diamonds. Is that correct?

He said early in the video a couple feet away is all you need… You’re less than a foot away for every one of those shots! Aside from the confusion with that, thank you very much for the drill and, for taking the time to post the video.
