Everybody hates on shrouded fable but lets be real: it has heavily impacted META. Pecharunt EX, Mocci, Duskclops evo chain, Fezandipiti ex, etc.

Pull rates are horrible with surging sparks, taking that into account I agree. Plus Silver Tempest has a trainer gallery.

Obsidian Flames does indeed have an issue with being a small set with regards to ultra/secret rares. Comparing it to the 2 sets before it: SV Base: 24 Illustration Rares, 20 Full Arts, 10 Special illustration Rares, 6 Hyper Rares. Paldea Evolved: 36 Illustration Rares, 26 Full Arts, 15 Special Illustration Rares, 9 Hyper Rares. Obsidian Flames: 12 Illustration Rares, 12 Full Arts, 6 Special Illustration Rares, 3 Hyper Rares. So SV base has roughly twice as many possible hits, and Paldea Evolved roughly 3 times as many, with the same pull rates. This matters because if I choose to open this set, either I end up getting a lot of duplicates of cards I don't want, or the card I do want has no value because there are so many out there that I may as well have just bought the single. I'm not saying it's wrong to like the set, but to me it always felt like the only reason to open it would be to try and pull Charizard.

Thanks for sharing! I definitely understand where you’re coming from. But to your statement that “there are so many out there that I should just buy the single” - that’s true about EVERY modern set. None of these modern chase cards are particularly rare, and it is always more economical to buy the single rather than gambling on opening packs. Yes, the main draw of opening the set is to pull the Charizard - same reason people open any set: to pull the chase card. Why does it make it a worse card at $80. I guarantee if it rises to $200 in a year, people will be singing a different tune - even though nothing will have fundamentally changed about the card or the set. That’s what happened with Paldea Evolved. Nobody liked the set when Magikarp was $40, but they suddenly do now that it’s $200?

@@LegendofLuke Yeah, that´s the community these days. Just say what most people say without thinking about it too much because I suppose it gives you more likes? But you are right. Twilight Masquerade is not that great of a set, while Obsidian Flames is pretty decent. The Gloom, Scizor, Ninetales, SIR Charizard and Gold Charizard are all awesome. Just look at the PSA 10 prices, so the argument ´it only has a Charizard like Darkness Ablaze´ is just another example of not really thinking further than general assumption.

The rank is decent but i would correct something:Paldea Evolved A because it's made way better than many other sets,Obsidian Flames and Lost Origin go down by 1 and Shroud Fable absolutely in F ,bro there is not one good thing about that set:the drop is low (basing on my experience),the set is small,the prices of the cards are low,there are few AR and Alternative art,the best cards are horrible,the theme and the principal pokemons of the set are boring and the only thing that are interesting are the promo cards of Greninja and Kingdra This is my opinion but i think there is something else you could fix about the ranking,but anyway it's a good ranking

Paradox Rift is underrated

Temporal Forces is one of the most overrated sets. The top chase cards are butchered versions of the Iconic legendary dogs. Surging Sparks also is by far the best set released of 2024, I think for the most part the tier list is solid, Paradox Rift is significantly better than Obsidian Flames though and Celebrations is an E tier set, it really isn't good and the stamp is an eye sore.

Surging is an A to S tier set easily & Chilling Reign should be in A tier. Plus I'd throw Lost Origin in S tier. If you do in fact rate things not solely based off $ the T-Gallery cheaper cards have some hidden gems.
