Are you kidding me? I just did what you showed, it was the same problem. Works great now! And. The shard I pulled out of mine looked exactly the same, must be coming for the dash some how.. took me 5 minutes to fix and no $$.

Is there just one solenoid or two? I was told there was one on both sides.

Did you have to reset the tcm? I replaced my shift solenoid twice and it isn't shifting correctly anymore..

It probably would have helped the removal of the connector if you soray some wd40 on it

Fuck yeah dude. My Subaru has been disabled for 3 weeks and now I'm going out to toughen the pulley right now. My mechanic didn't torque the bolt right. It flew off while I was driving down the road and through both belts. Somehow I made it 20 mi to work and the car totally died as I coasted into my parking space.

For those embarking on this project. Buy an oil vacuum pump with the small 1/4" tube. you stick the tub down the trans filler tube and the other end into a drain pan or large jug and suck the atf out of the pan. It make for a WAY cleaner job. Also makes "draining" the pan and topping off to change atf very easy. I run a cheap $30 unit.
@d.ridley52182 ай бұрын
May I add a comment to this comment? SUCK OUT THE TRANNY FLUID FIRST, then after a good nap, the pan should be easy to remove without the OIL BATH. Saying Tranny Fluid today has a far different meaning to some. Transmission fluid, let's say transmission fluid. The nap thing...

So you say it was getting stuck in 4th gear, meaning it wasn't going into overdrive? I think I might have the same problem you had. I've parked my truck for now until I can figure out what's going on. Replaced all kinds of sensors, code keeps coming up p0700, po871 transmission shift solenoid code. It started after I done some engine work mysteriously. If I do a reset where you take the battery cables off and do the whole deal with the key and the accelerator to the floor it shifts great the next two times I drive it then it goes back to missing overdrive, can't take it on the highway because of 50 miles an hour it will be 2500 rpm and I don't want to drive it like that. Everything is pointing to the shift solenoid but I'm still looking for answers before I buy one. Hopefully you'll respond to this and tell me if that's the same problem you were having.

Ive heard if you leave the harness connected it will hold the valve body in place and you can pull it down then disconnect it afterwards. I'm gonna try it that way.

Just a tip. Had to pull the tranny on my 08 Durango 5.7. I used about 8 feet of 1/4" OD icemaker water line and inserted through the dipstick tube until it bottomed out in the transmission pan. Siphoned into some milk jugs. Saves 90% of the mess.

did you design the box yourself? if so how did you calculate the size of box you needed for your vehicle? i want to do a 4th order in my avalanche and i want to design the box myself. im on a budget so i really dont have the extra money to pay someone to design it for me. i have 4 custom built xv2 15s and i want to build the box in the back cab of my truck . any help or info would be greatly appreciated thanks

@Drunken_Hamster11 ай бұрын
That's a bass knob as the average person might know it, but that's not an SPL build bass knob. I think with those they have a PHAT potentiometer resistor wired directly into the sub-amp signal wire or something. IDK, look it up, but with a proper knob you can literally dial the subs from "basically off" to "full blast" no matter how powerful your system is.

Ported side was tuned to 42hz which is low for a 4th order. Port area….. let me look through my notebooks and see if i can find it. I could go out and measure it for you. Car hasn’t ran in like 3 years but it’s still back there behind my garage
