Pre-Stain is a must when staining pine. Love the design and sturdiness.

I have my planer on a cart. I use it outside and set a garbage cane in front to catch the shavings then take them to the garden for mulch.

Dylan. Great first build bro! For your next build consider using a wood conditioner before staining. The conditioner will help the stain absorb evenly. And I think you’ll find that wood glue is not as necessary as you may think. For my builds, I rarely use glue and it’s only when I use brad nails. Keep at it and good luck.

Lovely video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Rozardner Easy Food Reality (probably on Google)? It is a great exclusive product for learning the trick to build great sheds and master woodworking without the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got amazing success with it.

Because pine is a soft wood it doesn't soak stain evenly. Next time you decide to stain it try preconditioning the wood with pre-stain. (lesson learned from personal experience)

i think that the glue makes it look realy cool and that there is no such thing as overkill when you are using well sometimes alittle to much is a pain when building but it makes a much stronger bond with the wood

Nice job. Next time use a wet cloth to get the glue off after clamping it. A belt sander would be better to.

on your planer you need to start sending your wood through at a slight angle to have your board cover the length of the blades so that you don't dull you blades as much.

@elderfarms5 жыл бұрын
Softball Addict I made sure to clean it before I set in on the rug. It hasn’t stained anything yet and I’ve had it for over a year!! Soap and water works, you can also seal it with poly to really enclose the stain. You could also use a felt pad on the parts that touch the ground, you probably want that for a hardfloor
