Thank you Ruslan! Based on this video and other research, I bought the Belkin SOUNDFORM converter you demonstrated, and an eSynic Optical to RCA Converter. And I got it working with our circa 2002 Onkyo TX-8511 amplifier/receiver that is used for our whole-house stereo system. The frustration: our house has a whole house sound system with a pair of excellent speakers in every room; there are even speakers in the roof of the gazebo outside by the pool! Around 20+ years ago, we "upgraded" to an Onkyo TX-8511 amplifier/radio receiver, and a Sony CD changer that held 200+ music CDs. Well, the CD changer stopped working, so we've been left with FM radio only. And, in the past 5 years we've been listening to music on Apple HomePods. Most recently we got a HomePod Mini, with the thought that it would be more portable. However, in reality it's remained in its usual spot in the livingroom (IMHO HomePods should have recessed handles, but that's a different story..) So, although summer is coming to an end, we still wanted to be able to play any music on the whole house sound system. This video and another one from 10+ years ago that showed how to pair an iPod with an Onkyo TX-8511, and some research that explained that HomePods can aircast to Airplay 2 devices (Belkin Soundform is one) gave me encouragement that we might achieve the desired result. Tip: research also indicated using the CD input on the amplifier would be best for optical connections, and to absolutely not use the Phono input. Challenges: -The Apple Music acct was subscribed to by my husband, who is not a techie. The process of changing the Apple Music to a "family plan," given that I had already shared my Apple storage with him, strangely made it complex for another subscription to be added to sharing, and meant a lot of trial and error and frustration. -I have an iPhone 8 with iOS 16.7.10. Once I plugged in the Belkin Soundform, I could not get the Belkin setup to open on my phone, eventhough I was using the NFC tag. And in the Home App it wouldn't work either.. until finally it did. Lack of power on the phone was probably an issue. At that point, I named the Onkyo in the Home App. -The Belkin couldn't see the HomePod. I found instructions (from 2018) for resetting the account on a HomePod. (appleinsider.com/articles/18/02/14/how-to-reset-your-homepod-and-connect-it-to-a-new-apple-id#:~:text=To%20do%20this%2C%20unplug%20your,automatic%20prompt%20to%20get%20started). This was necessary because it had been logged in via my husband's acct, but he had left for a flight. Once I did this, I could **finally** see the HomePod Mini in my Home App on the phone. Previous attempts to add the HomePod via "add device" had gone nowhere. Note - this reset will not work if your phone is running on 2% power. Get a charger and get out of low power mode. 🙂 -I had the music playing on the HomePod and could see the player on the lockscreen of my phone, but I still didn't have the music playing via the amplifier. I looked at the player on my phone's lockscreen, and I tapped the icon (on the right) for the HomePod. This allowed me to select the output device, and there it was - Onkyo was an option! Once that was select and the volume on the amplifier boosted, I finally had my music on the lovely speakers that have such amazing audio quality, in the house! (After about 4 hours of trying.. lol!) The synchronization was so good, that at first I thought the Mini was no longer playing from its own speakers. But I went up close to it, and sure enough - it was playing too. It was in perfect synch with the whole-house speakers. One question: I followed the instructions from Belkin in the pamphlet for downloading the Belkin Soundform app - apps.apple.com/us/app/soundform/id1562371277 - but this app is for wireless earbuds from Belkin. Nothing about the product relevant here. There is another Belkin Soundform app but it is for use with Alexa. I am confused about this. Can anyone explain how they have updated the firmware on this device? thanks Ruslan, I also wanted to say that I was impressed with the video quality of this instructional presentation. You mentioned that video editing is your hobby.. well, I would say it also could be your job.. it was a very fine video. Thank you!

I trained myself to use Launchpad, populating it with all my useful apps (including some Applescript apps that do certain functions), with the dock at the bottom, hidden. Mousing to the lower left corner brings up both Launchpad and my dock, so they're both nicely hidden until I need them. What we need is a Mac program to move the whole screen over a bit, perhaps once per day.

Will a MBP M3 Max be able to run two 4k/120hz monitors? I'm getting a MBP M3Max. I was looking into getting a CalDigit TS4 dock since it's the best one I've found but it says it only handles 4k/60hz(it's basing that off all M1 line chips). That's why I'm wondering if an M3 Max would handle two 4k/120hz monitors.

They claim one 4K at up to 240Hz which would imply there’s enough bandwidth for two 4K at 120Hz, but the documentation is unclear. support.apple.com/en-gb/117736

Guess what, by the fault Max I can go is 60 Hz...On windows laptop, no problem... And to be clear I tried the same adapter with Windows laptop and MBA M1 over usb-c to HDMI. I am thankful for this solution, but guess what... Windows is better now.

And Android have easy way to turn off all sensors (mic, camera, finger print, light sensor, ...), you need only to enable it in settings. You can also enable lockdown button(only pattern or password can open the phone)

Just from an run time focus point of view this video is not great, you spend the first two thirds of the video explaining the situation to people who have already found you by understanding and experiencing the situation and then it only takes about 8 seconds to explain the fix. I know KZbin doesn’t incentivize you to do this but shortening the video to only cover the remedy itself instead of focusing the majority of the runtime on the instance of occurrence is bad film language. The solution itself is concise and helpful, especially since you include the searchable terms for the settings in question, but I’d reduce or cut the initial explanation entirely.

Some incorrect information here. First, you cannot disable ABL, ever, even with the service menu. What you're referring to is ASBL - which can be disabled through the service menu (GSR, TPC). For the newer TV's, using an app like ColorControl will allow you to access the secret menu and permanently disable ASBL without the TV resetting it each time. I highly recommend using that.
