I was given two female betta fish and put them in a 10 gallon since they told me multipule females can go in the same tank, i came home and noticed a bubble nest with eggs and one of the fish tending to it but then they got into a fight and broke it. I AM STRESSED OUT LOL. google says i could of been given a short finned male?? if they are both female what do i do with the eggs? I am thinking of giving one to my friend since they do chase eachother often and I dont want them to be stressed out

because bettas are fighting fish, that's a natural thing... if the male doesn't make a bubble nest within a day, it's best to separate the two, because there's a big possibility that the male isn't ready.

Every video I have watched, the fry look huge. In my personal endeavors, I can barely see them at all. Even with readers and a magnifying glass. Barely on a video zoomed in. I have to be very careful not to prematurely abandon a mating due to poor eyesight!!! Still though, it seems like all the fry on these videos are just significantly larger. My babies catch up and are 6 month size by 6 months, but still... I plan to leave my male in as long as he continues to maintain the nest. My fry are dang near microscopic, but he has been diligent and has maintained that nest better than any male I've had. I've been doing this as a hobby since 1982.

the important point is to let the betta fish be hungry and give it just a few pellets, if it doesn't eat it, take the pellets and do it again tomorrow with the same pellets

At least the male betta is 3.5 months old and he must be healthy. make sure of that, if it doesn't make a bubble nest, in my experience I still put male and female betta fish together. It's just that sometimes they don't mate, instead female Betta fish are chased and bitten by male Betta fish. But if the fish are healthy and of sufficient age, they will usually make bubbles after one day of being together, even if they don't initially make a bubble nest. The chance of Betta fish mating is a small percentage, so it's best to take care of your Betta fish until it makes a bubble nest when it's alone, and that's when it can mate.

for this type it is usually sold out before 4 months, so only the parent is left, and the parent is still good in color, even though it has begun to indicate that blue will dominate

each betta fish has a mutational color, it is unpredictable, it all depends on the parents' genes, and often it is very different from the parent.... different from the basic color of the betta fish
